I say get rid of Congress and the Presidency, then make their positions electable since they are being political in their decisions. Less to pay for this way and easier to influence.
Don’t blame the institution. Yes, we need a judicial branch to adjudicate the laws passed by the legislative branch, and to keep the power of the executive branch in check.
The problem is, we have stopped being a nation of laws. That is not the fault of the institutions. It is the fault of an immoral, uninformed electorate that no longer holds the feet of our elected and appointed representatives to the fire.
Our problem is a worthless, immoral, uninformed electorate, kept that way by a biased media. Don’t blame the brilliant government structure set up by the Founders. It worked very well for about 200 years, until the people realized they could vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. Then it stopped working.
Yep, I’m going to be telling everybody, “Happy Dependence Day”.
The Civil War was about casting off the power of the Federal Government in DC over the States.
The States lost, and within 50 years of the end of the war, the IRS was born.
We are close to over 100 years out, and the SCOTUS is nothing more than an evil and useless collection of degenerates appointed by communists and robber barons and accountable to only the Grim Reaper.
My point being that the Federal Apparatus is on a schedule to increase pay and benefits that has exceeded that of the private sector, and that we are now slaves to the Apparatus.

The two that Obama appointed to the court are in no way qualified to be on the Supreme Court. Ginsburg is not a justice, but a socialist ideologue. The fix was in with Obama’s two appointments. Kagan was dancing in the halls of the Supreme Court when Obamacare passed. With the brain of Chief Justice Roberts compromised through anti-narcoleptic drugs (mental slowness and forgetfulness or worse), according to the NYT Aug. 1, 2007 article) or Chicago-land threat, Obama’s thug handlers can say “check mate.”
