When Father Frank Pavone sat by Terri Schiavo in the hours before she died, he noticed the flowers in a vase by her bedside.
The flowers were vibrant and alive, nourished by the water in the vase, while Schiavo was dying of thirst and hunger because a judge had ordered the removal of her feeding tube.
Pavone asked himself, "How did we get here?"
"Armed police officers were standing there to make sure we did not dip our hands into that water and put it on her tongue," he told more than 900 people at the annual Rose Dinner, an event following the National March for Life May 11.
Pure politics.
If Jeb had allegedly been interested in letting her die, Big Media would have played the other card and demanded that he save her.
And as long as we have a Democrat president, at least half of American voters really really want to be told what to think and do by him, because we KNOW that he CARES about each and every one of us!

Media aside, Jeb should have saved her. Performance counts. The scars of Terri’s death will be with many of us forever. I wouldn’t vote for him for dog catcher. Just saying.
I was there. standing outside in protest .. along with all the media. God rest her soul. o have never forgotten. executive branch vs judicial. judicial won. first time i ever saw hrs powerless.
I never did understand why she was left to die. Her parents were willing to take of her.
Because her Husband was mean and vindictive, and he had all the say so. Now there WILL be justice, we just may not see it on this earth. God is good.
Jeb Bush was walking along the banks of a lake in Florida. There were two small children in the water near the water’s edge.
Suddenly, one of the children near him started screaming. His sister had waded in to far into the water. The water was over her head and she could not swim. Jeb Bush was steps away. As the little boy tried to save his sister he too found himself in water over his head. Both children, hand in hand, slipped under the water.
Other adults a hundred yards away from the children had heard the screams. They saw that Jeb Bush was near the drowning children. They could see that all he had to do was take a few steps and pull the children to safety. The water was deep to the children but only waist high to Jeb Bush.
Jeb Bush stood still. He watched the children drown. He did not move.
After a few moments the children’s small bodies were bobbing in the water. Lifeless. Their hands still clasped together. Even in death.
The other adults had run as quickly as they could to the children and towards Jeb Bush. But they were too late. One of the adults, in tears, screamed at Jeb Bush. She asked “why didn’t you save them?” Another adult asked Bush “why did you do nothing? You could have easily pulled them to safety!”. Jeb Bush looked at the adults and pointed to a sign next to the lake. The sign said:
“ENTERING THE LAKE IS ILLEGAL - NO SWIMMING!”
Jeb Bush replied “I could not break the law! Mom and Poppy say someday I will be president!”
Let’s just hope Mittens doesn’t choose Jebbie for VP. That’s the one choice I could not accept.
Terri Schiavo is Jeb Bush’s legacy in Florida.
He may have done some good things as Governor, but allowing a defenseless woman to die negated everything.
If government will not protect the weakest among us, what’s the point of having a government at all?
Something I’ve been pondering heavily this week.
Dehydration is a horrible way to die. More than half of the human body consists of water, and as it evaporates the body shrivels, generating pain from all parts. If they wanted her to die, why couldn't they simply have given her a shot of chloroform?
If that happens, I will probably write in Terri Schindler or maybe go third party.
As of now, I’m not accepting Mittens either.
