The band is hoping to get one million people to view its rock version of the Star Spangled Banner by November 6th (election day). Also, group members are encouraging fans to download the music file and to add it to their music collections and mp3 players.

I’m not a fan of entertainers ruining our National Anthem by putting their “interpretation” on it.
But....I enjoyed the song and I hope they reach their goal.
I suppose I liked it because they didn’t try to sing it as the National Anthem, but more as a song, and it worked, at least for me. :)
Nice modern power pop treatment, got it sounding like it was written yesterday. Someone should have reined in the lead guitar on the theme/solo.

From the first time I heard this, I was really impressed with their arrangement. You’re so right, the purest will not like this rendition at all. I also put it on my facebook page and people have been wow-ed by it.
