I’m not a fan of entertainers ruining our National Anthem by putting their “interpretation” on it.

But....I enjoyed the song and I hope they reach their goal.

I suppose I liked it because they didn’t try to sing it as the National Anthem, but more as a song, and it worked, at least for me. :)

Nice modern power pop treatment, got it sounding like it was written yesterday. Someone should have reined in the lead guitar on the theme/solo.

I listened to this last night and LOVED IT! I posted it on my FaceBook with a warning to purest to not listen to it. Several of my friends listened to it and thought it was great. I do hope the group meets their goal.

From the first time I heard this, I was really impressed with their arrangement. You’re so right, the purest will not like this rendition at all. I also put it on my facebook page and people have been wow-ed by it.
