After over 4 days with no power in 95 to 100 degree heat my electric came back on last night !
I just want to remind everyone who have a habit of hanging their head in gloom. Americans are strong and compassionate people. No SHTF around here. There were neighboors getting together having cookouts and making sure everyone who came by had a burger or a hot dog. There were grocery stores giving out food and water. The very few businesses that had power shut their doors to become cooling centers. I had never seen anything quite like it here.
This is still a great country folks...
WTF does that mean ?
"unHAPPY DEPENDENCE DAY"
We have way too many so called Americans who go from cradle to grave being dependent and residing on the government plantation.
You don’t live in a diverse city, do you?
It is a sunny morning, I just got my power back. It is our nations birthday and you dolts want to feed me this depressing B.S.
There were dark moments during the revolutionary war. Do you think Washington and the guys fell into tears and gloom like the defeatest infants I see floating around FR on this morning.
be a happy warrior.

Having experienced the same during our last Texas hurricane, I’m glad to hear that the American spirit was alive and well during your disaster.
The American people can get along well without FEMA during such times. In fact, everything usually goes well until Week 2 of the emergency when the government bureaucrats arrive to “help.” Steer clear of signing any government forms for any assistance. That’s the lesson we learned down here.
I think this is why System D is growing:

Bump to the good people in this county. Remember is was Reagan’s positive attitude that got us out of the valley before.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the outpouring of assistance offered by the residents of Colorado during our wildfires. Lots of people offered rooms in their homes to evacuees and tons of food donated. I see the charitable spirit alive. It only seems to break down when the government gets too involved.
This guy is blowing in the wind. Our heroic soldiers fought long and hard to preserve our freedom, many getting killed or maimed, to protect our freedom. Yet our corrupt politicains are slowly taking away our freedom. Too many lazy @$$hole$ sit in the back of the cart and expect the hard workers to pull them along. Just look at at the brainwashed morons who have and will vote for Obama and his Marxist/Commie policies which have made us an up and coming “banana republic”.
Define “make it”. I’m less sanguine about our future than I’ve ever been in my life.
I suspect the Obamas will have tight faces and upset stomachs all of today.
The last thing they want to see is the continuation of celebrations about freeing the yokes of oppression.
Not when they for all practical purpose have just achieved in a slave state of 330 million citizens.
I Asked you a simple question and you insult me.
FU, you moron!
Thanks for posting this, I was out of power for 3 days and thank God I had great people around to help me.
Yes, it is a great country, but don’t confuse the country with the socialist Leviathan State that is slowly smothering the vitality out it.
mutual baby mutual !!!!
