A California judge has decided to hear the case of Mel Gibson‘s 78-year-old stepmom, Teddy Joye Hicks Gibson, next month.
She is attempting to get a restraining order against Gibson after she claims he threatened her, spit in her face and sabotaged her marriage to Mel’s father, Hutton Gibson, according to TMZ.

If that is the basis of the order then just about every family member in my extended family could probably get a restraining order. Just about everyone has lost it with someone else at some point. Heck, I could probably get one on each of my children at some point.
Sorry to hear that you like Mel Gibson may have a family member or a step-monster who likes to cause trouble and incites the screaming of the F Word and spitting in her face.
The article fails to establish the possibility that a 78 year old woman might very well have been physically abusive to Mel, who is himself getting up in age, and may have herself made her step-step son feel unsafe.
The stepmother says I have a restraining order against you, but oh yeah continue to let me live at one of your homes?
Sorry but he is Mel’s father and I’m sure he is doing everything he can to help him.
NOTHING against step parents.....but when a child is trying to save their parent, STEP out of the way.
And it’s a shame as Mel and his dad are very close and now there is this step-monster who is literally standing in Mel’s way despite Mel’s verbal and hydro-verbal requests to help or even see his dad who seems to be in frail health.
It’s a sad situation. If the step monster truly loved her husband, then why fight against ANY treatment that will help him?
Money. That is what this b***** is after. If I remember correctly, they are living in one of Mel’s home, no?
I’d throw the witch out on her butt. Mel has had his problems, but who doesn’t?
Here he is trying to save his daddy and step monster is trying to prevent it? Who the heck is she to have a say?
