What do you think: paper, plastic -- or both?

Not sure. Isn't this an issue local governments should decide?

Ban plastic, use paper. The environment is too important.

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

Where’s the option of using a nasty germ infested green bag?

Any politician that moves to ban plastic should be told to include newspaper companies that use them. That would put a stop to this nonsense.

I usually ask that they use some of each, but more paper than plastic. Plastic for things that leak, paper for everything else. Most of the young people bagging groceries in our stores do not seem to have been taught how to pack things in a paper bag and seem to have little sense of space, size and weight issues. Poor math skills?

Every time I post that I get the same response. It is just too funny of a cartoon. Yes, you are correct. People need to check to see if something is posted first. I know you are correct. Hope you got a good chuckle out of it. Did not mean to offend.

I think it is really funny as well — no offense taken (thus the smiley face) :)

Think about how many grubby, germ infested fingers have already fondled every item you put in your bag; green, paper, or plastic.
