Adds a little extra weight out front, too, which helps with 40S&W practice.

Have you seen the 'magnetic mount' red lasers for 1911s? I ordered one and find it stays zeroed quite well. The thing uses rare earth magnets so it sticks to the steel frame really tightly. Has a thin loop that fits inside the trigger guard, to align it as you bring it up to grab the metal. Sticks tight enough that switching it on and off and shooting lots of rounds doesn't change the zero. I use it for off hand practice ...

I’ve got a box of PPU FMJs on the shelf right next to me. “Made in Serbia”. I think I may have bought them from AIM surplus at one time. Hmmm ... brass cased.
