Sen Jim DeMint (R-SC) said on WMAL (Washington DC) that he believes that the GOP should wait until after the new Congress (and he hopes, a President Romney) to act on the Bush tax cuts. He said he did not want to deal with Dems and "weak republicans" to get a bad deal. He said we need to hold the House, and win the Senate and the White House to get the tax cuts permament.
Elections have consenquences.
Too bad he is retiring in 2016. A true American treasure.
What program was he on?
Perfect!
Too often we accept the Bumper sticker characterization of a bill and run scared, from any opposition to it.
The result is providing support for bad legislation.
Stop, Think, and do what is Right!
Outstanding, but the Dems will NEVER take this to the wire. They’ll agree to a full one year extension - because not doing so would DEMONSTRATE to the country (in paychecks, not words) that the (stupid) Bush Tax Cuts went mainly to the 99%. I bash those tax cuts every morning because they took so many people off of the tax rolls that they have nothing to lose now by demanding bigger government.
When your team is winning you set the agenda...
DeMint must be confident for the 2012 election...internal polling must be good...
Buckle your seatbelts, we are in for a bumpy ride
This continued uncertainty will wreak havoc with the markets, with employment, with tax planning for everyone, individuals and businesses, with govt budgeting and agency operations
The democrats will pull out every stop before the November election to accelerate this crisis, hurt the helpless (seniors) and our military, and do everything in their power - with the help of the DNC compliant Leni Riefenstahl media - to blame it on the GOP
However, if there must be trouble, let it be in my time
Amen!

Thanks Sen. Jim for a clearer definition of a RINO: “ - - - “weak republicans” - - - . “
