Drought of 2012 VS Katrina

While I am sure this summer's drought will have a greater negative impact on the U. S. than hurricane Katrina, it will be reported as a positive for this President and his administration no matter how many mistakes or errors they may make.

We just had the first 10 minutes of rain we’ve seen in a month. Before that its only rained about twice since mid May.

How? Proof that he isn't all wet?

Mistakes and errors implies that “O” IS or WILL be doing SOMETHING.

He hasn’t ... and won’t do anything.

I guess the MSM hasn’t tried to catch up with him on the back nine!

As long as Obama is in office, we will suffer from drought, plagues, floods, earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes and famine.

This has been the first summer in years where we have not been in a drought.

And to make things worse, we're going to feed and house "migrant" workers who are out of work because of it.

Obama is an incompetent twit, no doubt - but pray tell just what exactly is it you would want the feds to do about this?

It is a drought, it is a natural thing — why in heaven’s name would anyone even consider wanting the government to get involved in something like this? You want him to do some kind of kenyan rain dance or something?

He hasn’t ... and won’t do anything.

I don't want him or anyone else in government to do anything. Its time Americans got off the gravy train and accepted the fact that things happen and we have to cope with it.

Post 7 is an example of how government “helps” in these situations.

We had the 100 year drought in 2011. The last time we approached such devastation was in 1895 (my ancestors historical account).

We received 2-3/4” of rain from Oct. 1, 2010 to Oct. 1, 2011. Mid-October 2011 the pattern was broken.

Yes, this summer has been dry too, but not the catastrophe of 2011.
