The cynosure this morning was not the Word for the Day classroom, as I got out of the house and had forgotten to leave the keys to the classroom with anyone. Apologies to students.

May I suggest the next “Word for the Day’’? Maunder.(v.i.) 1. To talk in a rambling, foolish or meaningless way. 2. to move, go, or act in an aimless, confused manner. “Obamas maundering speech left many to wonder as to what he was talking about’’.

The cynosure in these parts today was the 87th annual Cincoteague Pony Swim. I steered clear of there today, but have to go tomorrow and will be back on Friday to watch the return swim.
