12 gauge Shotgun is by far the most deadly in mass shootings. Can’t find it now, but saw a SOF magazine with a breakdown of lethality in spree shootings by weapon type.
Assault rifle was near the bottom. Handguns were far worse, and you don’t want to be there when someone unleashes a shotgun.
