BREAKING: PPP Poll....early voting has Cruz 55%, Dewhurst 40%
PPP and Twitter ^ | 7/29/2012 | Public Policy Polling

PublicPolicyPolling ‏ @ppppolls

Cruz is up 55-40 with those who already voted so Dewhurst really needs a huge election day turnout to have any chance

Also...FYI....

31% of Texas runoff voters more likely to support a Palin endorsed candidate to only 16% for one backed by Perry

I wouldn’t mind seeing Dewhurst forcibly retired. No doubt he’d make millions lobbying though like Lloyd Bensen.

If Dewhurst goes back to Austin on Tuesday, as I expect, perhaps we can do something about that.

Give Dewhurst the Boot in 2014 (((Ping List)))

To be added or removed from this list, freepmail me.
This is a low volume ping list at this time.

Our family voted for Cruz. I have worked during several elections last year and this year in our Precinct and I don’t recall ever seeing as many people vote in our area since the last Presidential election as in this runoff.

During the primary this year we had 42 people over a 5 day span. Had almost 200 just last Friday afternoon and a steady stream the entire week. Particularly interesting because the predictions were for a very low turnout in our area. Looking forward to seeing final totals.

I'm not sure that even if we get Cruz elected by a landslide that the GOP elites will get a clue.

That's their problem.

They can whine about being booted out of office by the nasty tea-partiers as they sip their drinks at the country club.

Voting for Cruz on Tuesday as well. As far as anecdotal evidence goes, I see mostly Dewhurst ads on tv but I see way more Cruz signs in people’s yards. In fact, I have only seen 1 Dewhurst sign in someone’s yard. I live in east Dallas county.

It is far worse for dohurtus. You have to be a brain dead blithering idiot to talk to an exit poller. If they approach me they quickly cower because my vote is my business and the shall go away. Liberals will stand and be emasculated by these jack asses. So, in effect, the conservatives are punching these guys out and the liberal dohurtus people are babbling like high school girls — like.
That means dohurtus is getting politically slaughtered.

Same here. We live in a very conservative area of Travis county and I have seen one - ONE - sign for do do hurst, and a BUNCH for Cruz. I hope Ted kicks the do do out of do do.

That’s good news, but I figured Cruz voters to be more enthused and more early voters. But I DO hope it holds up!

I hope that the poll data is correct. Dewhurst has really worked my nerves with his gross mud-slinging. Does he even HAVE a record he can run on!???

Shades of schadenfreude.

Hello Texas Freepers,

So glad to see your state backing a conservative and I have some questions for you.

Has Tokyo Rove been seen trashing Cruz yet? What are the chances the Texas RINOs and GOP-e will start talking up the dem candidate when Dewhurst is beaten?

He's waiting until Cruz has a rat opponent -- just like he did with Christine.
