Yes, I did it. (vanity)
Me

Posted on 08/03/2012 11:03:19 PM PDT by MacMattico

I did it. I'm ready for the flames.

I put a Romney bumper sticker on my car. But no cash from me until/if a decent VP is chosen.

I'm in upstate NY. I was ready for the comments as I had to travel all over today.

Eight people made comments, and one that made my gaydar go off gave me an "I don't think so girlfriend" look.

Of the eight that spoke, one screamed out "Obama!" which just made me laugh, and the remaining 7 said, to sum up "Yeah, Obamas got to go." One said it with a sigh as if he was greatly disappointed having voted for the President previously. Two of the seven that liked my sticker also told me I was brave and to be careful with that sticker on my car, which is sad in the USA.

So, in liberal NY my unscientific survey of 8 reveals 7 Romney supporters, but the sad part was it was like they had to reveal this to me quietly, tell me I was "brave" for sporting a GOP nominee sticker on my car and told to be "careful".

Good for you. For better or worse, Romney is the GOP nominee and is only who can beat 0bama at this stage. We all need to follow my tagline.

Just more proof how hateful and fascist the Leftists are.

They will attack you eventually-—They are rather bold now a days with their god in office-—but this whole Chick Fil A thing—shook their confidence a little.

I'm not willing to take your step, but I'm FAR from the only one sporting THIS bumper sticker....

Where in upstate NY? I live in Orange Cty. Two yrs ago I put a decal of Calvin peeing on 0bama on the back window of my car. In case 0bammy’s proposed civilian army wants to know it’s a slightly modified ‘07 Cobalt, silver with black racing stripes, rear spoiler, low res exhaust and dark tinted windows, ARREST ME! I’ve yet to receive a single negative comment and I occasionally drive through less than desirable neighborhoods. In fact I’ve gotten quite a few compliments and people asking me where they can get one. I don’t see too many 0bama stickers, other than an occasional Prius or Subaru zipping back and forth on I-84, usually with Mass or Vermont tags.

***Does your bumper sticker say, “I support a lying, baby-killing statist, but at least he has an R in front of his name”?

My husband’s finally come around to voting for Romney, but he thinks that especially in some of the places I have to drive to, my cars going to get trashed or I might get hurt. I told him I ‘m not going to back down, I have put a bumper sticker for President on every car I or my family has had ever since I can remember. My father freaked out when at 9 I was attempting to put a Reagan bumper sticker on his new, expensive car. He loved Reagan but didn’t want to disturb the paint! We came to a compromise and I was allowed to put the sticker inside the car, on the back window, with scotch tape!

How’d you know, that's exactly what it says!/S

Strange all the libs HATE Romney, yet I'm suppose to sit it out and let Obama continue his permanent take over from within.

Farther upstate, probably you'd see it as Northern NY or Central NY but where I have to travel are some little centers of upstate communists!!

Maybe if you support a conservative rather than a lying, baby-killing statist then the situation would be different.

You encouraged flames. Supporting a librul candidate on a conservative website is a good way to generate them.

Conservatives have to survive under the next administration, too. Yes, this is a conservative website so why so many people here insist on keeping the worst, farthest left President in office by their lack of vote or vote for Virgil Goode, Ross Perot in disguise, is beyond me.

I have had this posted on a number of threads but the open offer stands. The first person to explain to me how it is that a conservative can vote for a liberal without abandoning what he believes in to do so will get me to vote for Romney.

Today on another thread there was another story about the GOP being hesitant over the funding of zerocare. Bhoner is once again at it with the trial balloons and excuses. Now I think you agree that Bohner and the GOP should stick to their principles-the GOP platform, correct?

So logically and without the ‘fear of Obama excuse’ explain to me why we should vote for a person that has the record of MR and his thoroughly documented history of oposition to conservatism.

By compromising what we believe in out of fear of the crazy democrat, we collectively put into power the very people who repeatedly sell out this country. That cannot rationally be argued against. So why do you feel that by electing a man farther left than McConnel/Bohner and literally every other RINO in Washington, that somehow ‘good’ will result?

I would submit to you that since 10, the GOP has had the full and complete ability to shut down every unlawful act, overreach of power and utter usurpation of the Obama Admin. And I would likewise ask you in all honesty, why you would think that such a congress would rein in their own party leader’s liberalism when they have documented refused to do so with the opposition?

No, I do not want Obama reelected. And I do not want a liberal like Romney who shares MANY of Obama’s ‘values’ and policies (abortion/homosexuals/gun control/mandates) to be empowered either.

And until someone does better than ‘Obama is the Antichrist- (though he well may be) I am not going to again help the GOP move left. Because no one can say with a straight face that electing the most liberal ‘Republican’ to ever run under the party’s banner will move it to the right or even keep it ‘centered’.

And if America is stupid enough to do it, they will do it without my help.

Good for you! I’m the opposite. I’ve already contributed a few $ to Mr. Anybody But Obama (what was his name again? Mitt or something?) but no bumper sticker yet. I’m waiting to put one up until after we visit my uber-liberal sister- and brother-in-law so I don’t have to take unnecessary guff from them.

So how does that square with “Be Brietbart Baby!” from your tagline. I never thought AB based his activism or opinions on what overbearing family members had to say.

Your choice of course and you are welcome to do so. But lets be honest with each other shall we? It does not seem Brietbart’ish to me at all.

And he pretty much worked himself to death standing for what he believed in.

And I appreciate the support from yourself and Commander Riker ;)

I also would like someone to explain to me the logic in all these TEA Party rallies, all the Talk Radio and all the ‘name’ conservatives giving us the full monty sales pitch on why we need to send rabid right wing pit bulls to Congress, yet when it comes to their leader, well, the lib will do. Schizophrenic much?

Does any thinking person believe, I mean really in their heart and rational mind BELIEVE that makes one iota of sense? “We want a CONSERVATIVE GOVERNMENT!!! ...but we’ll vote for the biggest lib the party ever ran because...well we have to!

Gee...I wonder WHY the GOP keeps sending us more liberal libs.

And of course last time we HAD to vote for McCain because of the crazy Democrat. (And I dutifully did because of Palin). Before that Bush because of the crazy Dems Gore/Kerry. Before that it was Dole because of the Crazy dem. Each time the GOP candidate was more and more liberal. Gee #2: there’s a pattern here. In 2016 the GOP will be running a registered Democrat or an open Marxist. Why? Because the Crazy Democrat on the other side will be crazy, destroy America ect.

Duh. That’s what they do. They are Democrats. So what? We elect one of our own who is lockstep lib because he’s our lockstep lib?

Fact: The Dems will ALWAYS run a crazy man/woman. It’s who they are.

Fact: If we keep voting for liberal Republicans out of fear of the crazy democrat, we ARE crazy Democrats.

No matter what happens it’s going to hella suck. People are going to lose lots of everything. Anyone hoping a miracle will happen under ‘our’ liberal are living in a fantasy. There will be no magic bullet. We can either take the pain now or take worse pain in the future. But there WILL be pain.
The smart thing is to stop the bleeding and tend the wound. But it seems that many want to just let it fester and then in 4 years, the dems elect the crazy dem even crazier than this one and guess what? Just like the last 4 times “We have to vote for X or the country burns!!!”

Insanity is repeating the same thing and expecting a different outcome. We DO have a choice. We can vote for a conservative, or even a semi conservative, take the pain, and begin to rebuild. Or we can ride the train to hell on different tracks.

And again, I defy anyone to show me where any of the above is logically incorrect.

The logic is correct but how many votes are you going to get with logic? Certainly not enough to win the presidency.

So it’s better to have a country run by illogical liberalism? Just to WIN? What do you ‘win’ exactly? Can you call America “America” with the direction Obama is going OR all those constitutionally incorrect positions Romney has a record of legislating? Gun control, abortion for all/any reason, a homosexualized society, the Soviet healthcare and all the laws that intrude on your income and bank account-say nothing of your actual health?

What part of those things is the America you want? Because either way, ‘win’ or lose, that’s what you get. So you can cast your vote for what you believe in or help empower more of what you do not.

Should be a simple choice.

If people choose to elect the liberal, that is wholly their choice. But they better not bitch a single time when he goes full tilt Mass Governor on them. They will have thoroughly lost the right to complain and be taken seriously.
