Couldn’t agree more. I’m sick and tired of “them” saying they were born that way. Could God make THAT many mistakes?

Suppose there is such a gene, and better, suppose that it can be detected prenatally. If a woman tests her fetus and finds it carries that gene, and she decides to abort it for that reason, could she be prohibited from doing so on the basis that doing so is discrimination based on sexual orientation? But then, wouldn’t such a prohibition interfere with her Right To Choose? I’m so confused.

If there is a gay gene, can we then say that they are mutants?

If they were to discover a gay gene next week would you then support gay marriage?

Wait a minute!!!

The brilliant genetic researcher, “Lady Gaga”, has said that homosexuals are born this way. That’s it, case closed, end of discussion!!!

If “Lady Gaga” has concluded that her homosexual fans are born that way, then we can’t discuss otherwise!!! (sarcasm)

I had one argue that men and women leave their families because they’ve been gay all their lives, they just were too ashamed to out themselves and covered it up by marriage and children

Which of course begs the question, how did they manage to stay married for years and have biological children in the first place?

And if it was genetic, then why do some have the occasional flings then back to hetero lifestyle? Or try it once and nope, not for them after all? Or they become heterosexual?

And don’t dare bring up HIV with them, they really have a cow then.

A congenital disorder may be the result of genetic abnormalities, a chromosomal abnormality, the intrauterine environment, morphogenesis errors, or infection. It need not be genetic for a person to be “born this way”. Also, being “born this way” (whether with sexual temptations toward homosexuality, pedophilia, adultery, or whatever, or other congenital tendencies) is not destiny. The whole point of God’s Word is to inspire us toward a higher calling than our animal nature. What would be the point of the Bible if it said “do whatever you want”? We would do that without any guidance from God. God has given us all strengths and weaknesses, temptations and the means to resist those desires - and guidance on how we can live our lives in the manner that is best for us. It’s our job to choose what we will do with those gifts.

What happens when the “gay gene” is used in prenatal testing? (Abortion)

I understand alcoholism/addiction might also have a genetic component.

If true, I still would not endorse alcoholism to those with the gene.

All of us, I suspect, carry a sex-drive genetic component. That does not excuse my going out on the town with anything or anyone that is willing.

Control is not not just wishful thinking. We do it every day.

It’s intriguing because this is the same community that says science settles everything. There is not one replicated scientific study on this question.

She also refers to them as her “little monsters” so at least she’s consistent.

Is there a broken bone gene?

Your argument is stupid. Find another one.

Rule #1 - Tab “A” always fits into Slot “B”.

Two Tabs by themselves, or two Slots by themselves, always result in a spilled pile of Corn Flakes on the floor. The “Five Second Rule” does not apply to Corn Flakes.

My objection is that “gay” marriage is a violation of
the first amendment. Traditional marriage being a
religious institution, government sponsorship of
a particular marriage that was not traditional constitutes
the institution of a religion which is not allowed
under the first amendment.

Am I wrong??

If they were to discover a gay gene next week would you then support gay marriage?

If you were to wake up one morning and find Hillary Clinton in bed with you, would you gnaw off your arm to escape from her?

I love rhetoricals!!!!!

If there ever was a gay gene it would have been eliminated by natural selection eons ago.
