Quick Change was pretty good, too.

Bank Guard: What the hell kind of clown are you?
Grimm: The crying on the inside kind, I guess.

[getting on a bus]
Phyllis: What's that smell?
Grimm: Used wine.

I think Zombieland is on FX tonight but I'm torn. I'm switching between Falling Skies and the 5th Element now. Gary Oldman is great as Zorg.

There has to be a Muslim there somewhere. A good guy, goes without saying.

Why are they doing this?? They should have stopped after the first one. Geez, they beat these movie franchises to death. They can’t seem to come up with anything original, just sequels and remakes..

No wonder they wanted Murray. It's like Groundhog Day for Ghostbusters.

I liked that, too. I’d read the book in a high school literature class, and I thought the movie, while not “just like” the book, got the spirit of the characters.

I think I remember that one from MST3K.

Tim Pawlenty might do well in the remake.

I remember watching the actual movie on TV back in the early 80s on then newly launched WHNS TV 21. It was like Me-TV now but it had an even better lineup for a few years.

It later became a fox affiliate.

If they really want a good plotline for their movie, they should have the Ghostbusters seek out and eradicate all the dead democrats that vote in major elections and then take out their evil leaders, Relousi and Peid (gotta change the names to satisfy the lawyers).

"i prolly should read the book someday"

The movie takes quite a few liberties. For example, Larry Darryl is a WWI aviator, not an ambulance driver in the book...

It’s an excellent book, but in Maugham’s descriptions (both physical and psychological) of Larry Darryl, it becomes readily evident how poor a casting choice Murray was for the role. Denholm Elliot as Elliot Templeton, on the other hand, was just about perfect.

Get Low (2009)
The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou (2004)
Lost In Translation (2003)
Rushmore (1998)
Groundhog Day (1993)

I loved him in there and several others.

I am at just the right age to truly appreciate Steve Zissou's desire for some new crusade to bring back the spark of life to his mundane existance. The same theme seems to carry through each of his other films. It is breathtaking to watch him persevere in spite of the foibles of the human condition.
