Few men could put as much into a few minutes of broadcast as Ernie Harwell. Everything from faith, family values, love of Michigan and baseball in nearly every broadcast.

This last speech had me crying like a baby when I saw it live. His was a voice as familiar as anyone in my family for my whole life.

As an Angels fan, I have always hated the Dodgers (red vs blue you know?)....but I have always been a huge fan of Vin Scully. One of the best broadcasters ever! I miss the days way back when when he called the World Series games for NBC.

Vin Scully is the most overrated sportscaster of all time.

I think Vin was actually better at doing football than baseball....he made the call on “The Catch” in the 1981 NFC Title Game.
