Scully famously would not read on-air promos for “The Best Damned Sports Show Period”.

“I was taught you did not use the word Damn on the radio when I started my career, and I’m not going to start using it now”.

3:50: “Jim’s gone, so he’s spending house money now.”

My one wish as a baseball fan is that someone invents an immortality pill and gives it to Vin Scully. This is just a wonderful clip.

I was laughing my @ss off last night watching it live. Vin was ‘all business’ translating, which makes it all the more hilarious.

Both Tracy and Scully were right, it should have been a caught ball and 3rd out for the inning.

However, no harm done to CO Rockies due to the missed call.

Yet another example of unionized employees screwing America from truth and justice. Why isn't there "Instant Replay" to overturn obvious mis-calls by baseball umpires? It's not difficult to do.

In fact, there should be electronic strike zones as well. It is such a joke that a pitch 3" inside is a ball when Todd Helton is at bat and a strike when Rookie Gordon Pacheco is at bat.

If you want poetry with your baaeball. Scully is the man for that.

If you want to learn something about the game while you watch baseball, tune into SNY’s Mets Broadcasts with Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling as PBP men. You’ll get inside-baseball stuff like nobody else.

As an Angels fan, I have always hated the Dodgers (red vs blue you know?)....but I have always been a huge fan of Vin Scully. One of the best broadcasters ever! I miss the days way back when when he called the World Series games for NBC.
