I’m with you momtothree.

First of all....even when you disregard athletics, all women are built differently.
You see alot of focus on breasts in this thread - as if breast size is uniform outside of sports.

Big breasted made up women have a place in our society - look at the movies, tv shows, magazines, etc...

A girl wants to be a good student and dress prim & proper?
Good for her!

A girl wants to throw on her gear and compete with other athletes....fantastic!

That is what is great about America!

Amen. It’s crazy to throw some of the legit problems in society and pretend that they are represented by female Olympians, when it’s just the opposite.

“... all women are built differently”.

I was over hearing a pre-teen conversation between my daughter and several of her friends. These girls were complaining they didn’t look like this star or that girl”. A complete focus on external qualities... nothing relevant to “who” they were. My daughter told them, “My Mom told me that God made women in all sorts of sizes, lengths and colors. Some are heavy, some are thin. Some are tall and some are short. But, He made them all perfect”.

There is so much focus on breast size with this thread. God designed breasts to feed an infant. I’ve known women that are small and some that are naturally quite large. I would rather women be confident with their natural body than to have silicone implants so they can be seen as “beautiful”.

You are right... women being able to be prim and proper, athletic, or somewhere in between is what makes America great. Every person is born with a natural talent of some sort. If that is athleticism, then I see that as a gift. (No different than any other gift we can be born possessing). One gift shouldn’t be ignored if a few call it “unfeminine”. IMHO.
