WPRO Providence talk personality John DePetro is sued for sexual harassment

Co-worker Diana (“Dee”) DeQuattro alleges several inappropriate incidents, including one on May 21. Her suit filed in Rhode Island Superior Court alleges that late-morning WPRO talkhost DePetro asked her to go to lunch, and instead of heading to Newport Creamery, “as they had done in the past...DePetro drove to a house on a dead-end street...insisted that plaintiff exit the car and come into the house...and made sexual advances.”

He had “previously boasted to plaintiff that he rented a house with certain other individuals where they would bring women and get together for sexual parties.” DeQuattro says she told Cumulus market manager Barbara Haynes about the incident the next day. On July 18, DeQuattro says DePetro invited her into the studio, then asked “if he and another woman could have sex with plaintiff and her boyfriend.” The Providence Journal has the story about the suit filed against DePetro, Haynes, WPRO (630) and simulcast WEAN (99.7) owner Cumulus Media, and its counsel Nicole Waller. DeQuattro filed a charge of discrimination at the state Commission for Human Rights on August 3 and was soon locked out of her email account, and locked out of the building. Read the lawsuit here. Yikes. Former WRKO host, also before that WHJJ in Prov where he was a pain in the neck for local pols like Buddy Cianci. "The Independent Man" Lost WRKO job after two incidents (supposedly Charlie Baker's Pilgrim Health Care not pleased, a sponsor) where he referred to Matt Amorello of MA DPW as "Fag Matt. Wife wears the pants". Then he called MA ind. gov candidate Grace Ross a "fat lesbian". True but apparently they feel "the way he said it..."
