Seriously. just install it and try it.

As a developer, I have to use multiple browsers on multiple platforms. All have their pros and cons.

But there’s nothing stopping you from trying them all.

Chrome is faster and my husband keeps telling me to switch, but I still use Mozilla Firefox because I am used to it.

I have all three major browsers on my computer. Firefox seems to crash less than Chrome. Chrome seems to seize up less than IE.

I'm not a tech nerd with either the time or patience to deal with crashes or seizures. So when one of them crashes or seizes up, I just go to one of the others.

As for speed, Chrome does seem to be marginally faster than FF and noticeably faster than IE. But I use FF most of the time because of the lower crash/seizure rate.

Google scans virtually everything you do and they either sell the information to retailers or report it to the government.

It’s the reason I avoid Google at all costs. How do you think they got so much money BEFORE their IPO??

Chrome is, if you enjoy being spied on any more than you already are using Firefox.

I gave up Firefox for Safari on my Mac, as it continues to get worse and worse, especially with this insane release cycle they're on. (I still have Firefox on my Linux box, because there is no Safari for Linux, and it's fairly stable on that platform.)

I wouldn't touch Google InfoStealer Chrome with a 10 foot pole.

Chrome and Safari are tops in browsers for the last several years. I use both regularly. Chrome has a bit of a learning curve due to its lightweight GUI, but it is excellent. It is also based on Apple’s WebKit, which powers Safari. Opera and Firefox have been passé for a while now. Microsoft Internet Explorer is just malware. Go Chrome or Safari. I was very pleased that Apple adopted the in integration of the URL/Search input field that Chrome made popular.

I am running the latest version of FF on several Linux versions (Mint & Ubuntu) and have absolutely no complaints.

If you want Chrome without the Google association, try

SRW Iron or
Comodo Dragon

Both are based on Chrome but are developed outside Google.

“IMHO it’s Chrome but it maybe spyware!”

The internet is “spyware” no matter the browser or the sites you visit. If you get on the internet then you get “spyware”. If you don’t want “spyware” then unhook the network cable forever. :-)

Yeah, been using Opera for years. It is much faster then IE and FF, and I find it faster than Chrome. Browser speed is more subjective nowadays with faster computers, and is less an issue, but Opera is generally the fastest. But is is a bit different, and I find that most people don’t want to learn something different...

I’ve used Firefox for several years and like it. Its only drawback (compared to IE) is that some videos won’t run in FF but will only run in IE. I won’t use Chrome because Google is too intrusive.

The latest versions of Firefox have been getting to be fat and lazy resource hogs.

Use Firefox and install “Do Not Track Plus”. Google won’t be able to find you.
