Thanks to Gov. Palin, The Democrats are Stuck with Uncle Joe Update: Jay Carney Takes a Swipe at Palin
Posted on August 16 2012 - 2:37 AM - Posted by: Steve Flesher
Dont look to Andrea Saul or Kevin Madden to be this clever.
But even I have to admit, when Palin threw out a suggestion to the Obama campaign Tuesday night with Greta Van Susteren to replace Joe Biden, I scratched my head. In response to Bidens latest disgusting comment, Palin said the following:
Greta if thats not the nail in the coffin really the strategists there in the Obama campaign have got to look at a diplomatic way of replacing Joe Biden on the ticket with Hillary and I dont want to throw out that suggestion and have them actually accept the suggestion because then an Obama and Hillary Clinton ticket would have a darn good chance of winning but really Joe Biden really drags down that ticket.
Immediately, the liberals at Mediaite responded by posting the headline and their liberal commenters had a field day. Similarly, the Huffington Post covered it, and 2,768 hysterical comments later, the liberals are still ranting. Other mainstream outlets like ABC covered it as well. McCain even came out to say it, too!
Obama came out today to respond, dismissed the idea, and further attempted to pathetically excuse Bidens chains remark.
In less than a day, Palin set a trend. Liberals were even crankier than usual and Republicans were unexpectedly quiet. After all, she literally suggested what would be beneficial to Obama.
As we all know, Obama is a drag. We also know that Romneys been lackluster. Neither has been able to energize their bases. That changed for Romney when he announced Paul Ryan as his V.P. nominee. Suddenly donations poured in. After a full day, Romney managed to raise $3.5M! No, its not the $7M McCain raised after announcing Palin but still, its a larger surge of energy than Obama has yet to capture in 2012′s campaign.
Further, Romney and Ryan got rallies which were impressive in size like the crowd of 10K in North Carolina! Again, not really the 60K Palin got in Florida, but its still more energy than Obama has been able to gin up this year. As it stands now, Romney and Ryan have a clearer shot than ever before of picking up some battleground states and putting themselves on a path to victory and moving us a step further to better days for America.
If Obama decided he needed a wild card to energize his base, whats he going to do? Take advice from Sarah Palin? How would his base respond? The following article which describes Palin as a smart political operator via the Hayride says it pretty well:
So just in case the Democrats might think about making a switch to Hillary, along comes Sarah Palin to suggest it.
And now they cant do it even if they wanted to. Obama cant be seen as taking advice from Sarah Palin.

So shes helping the Romney ticket by writing Biden off. The Romney ticket wants Biden right where he is.
You can read the whole thing here.
So thanks to Palin, it appears that Obama is (for the lack of a better phrase) chained to Joe Biden for this go around.
The response from the left is not at all conspicuous. Enjoy!
Update by Stacy: Jay Carney took a swipe at John McCain and Governor Palin during his press conference today, after being questioned about the possibility of Joe Biden leaving the Democrat ticket. He responded:
One place I would not go for advice on presidential running mates is John McCain.
Im sure they wouldnt, considering that the record of the person John McCain did pick in 2008, doesnt fit with the overall strategy of the Obama administration. No, a person who cut spending by 9.5%, reduced earmarks by 80%, used the line item veto to reduce spending, encouraged energy development while taking taking on oil industry cronies, wouldnt be a good match for the modern Democrat party under Obama.
The important thing about Carneys remark is that the Obama campaign is now completely stuck with crazy uncle Joe for the 2012 election cycle.

Update II by Stacy: Heres proof that noted David Dewhurst backer, Michael Reagan shouldnt be listened to in Republican circles. This morning, he tweeted out the following:
Someone tell McCain and Palin just shut up about Hillary replacing Biden.Ok I will!Shut up!
For one thing, that was extremely rude, but more importantly, its politically ignorant. Regardless if there were ever any active talks with Democrats about replacing Joe Biden, that option is now off the table for good. The card has been removed from the deck by Governor Palin, with some help from her old running mate.
Another aspect that Michael isnt considering is that it is good for Republicans to have Joe Biden in the news. Extremely good in fact. Our Vice President is a walking gaffe machine. He makes the administration look bad. Getting the media to stop talking about Romneys tax returns, and turning the focus back on to Joe is a win for the Romney campaign.
Finally, it was pure genius of Governor Palin to bring this up because it also reminded Hillary Clinton supporters what happened to her in 2008. Many of whom are still angry over the way she was treated by Obamas people during that primary, and then snubbed as his vice presidential pick. Ripping the scab off of that wound is not good for Democrat unity before a major general election.
Bravo, Governor!
She’s like Breitbart was——she understands the game these Marxists play.
Ha-—Zero is “chained” to Biden.
The Democrat newsrooms convinced Americans that Palin was out of the mainstream, and stupid, and whatever. Many in the scumbag Republican establishment eventually came to buy into that propaganda. Then the Democrat “mainstream” newsrooms convinced Americans that homosexual “marriage” was inevitable, and the right thing to do.
Then, last week, the lines at Chic-Fil-A, in support of traditional American values, were down the street and around the block. The Democrat newsrooms gnashed their teeth in disappointment and confusion. Meanwhile, the scumbag GOP establishment is still scratching its effing head in a different kind of confusion, the kind only the truly stupid can suffer.
That's our Sarah, both tactical and strategic.
And the Rats thought they were so smart, now they knife one another in the back when Sarah lifts an eyebrow.
You and Sarah are on the exact same page.
Especially this election season, its Chess not Checkers.
Palin has the magic though, she has some secret to cutting through the fog, and penetrating the media.
Giuliani can say it, but Palin can say it where people hear it, and she can make it happen, she drives Obama insane, and knows how to get her message out to the public. Palin has much more ooomph.
Remember during the 2008 campaign when Obama, running for president, got caught up for weeks in engaging the GOP vice-presidential candidate, even the media was publicly trying to tell him that you can’t let that happen, it was bizarre, and something that we had never seen.
You forgot to mention that she’s HOT too. That REALLY pisses them off!
There are many Hillary supporters(Called PUMAS) who support Sarah Palin, they have been supporting her from the beginning..they are Democrats but I dont think they are necessarily “Left wing.”
Sarah was a genius for bringing up Clinton, the moment she did it I knew exactly what she was doing and it was pure brilliance. Its the Reverse Psychology technique, parents do it with their children all the time and it works! Sarah didnt suggest replacing Biden with Clinton because she wanted Obama to do it, she said it so that he wouldn’t do it. Everyone knows Dems will NEVER take advice from Sarah Palin, they would rather slit their own wrists than give her credit for anything..now they are stuck with watermelon head Biden, no leave of absence due to “Medical reasons” they are stuck with him and once again Sarah plays these liberal fools like a fiddle and they are too stupid to realize they have been played
If Hillary can make her move now, she’ll go for it.
She’d go for it on the very day of the election - she doesn’t care, and she doesn’t accept any rules or laws.
On the other hand, if she has to wait, she’ll wait.
But. Sharks have to swim to live. Hillary has to run to live. So if she’s not running...
...she’s running.
But gee I thought Palin was irrelevant. Lets deal something out here. Far from being stupid Sarah Palin is freeeeeeeeeeeeaking brilliant.
Like the media would let on that Mrs. Palin originally said it.
A week from now the brain-dead Americans won’t remember what they had for breakfast.
I love Mrs. Palin, but the liar in chief will do whatever it takes to keep power.
bump for morning
Stay away from all Parks Joe !
Giuliani saying Biden should be replaced did not make any difference to the press or Obama. They couldn't care less what Juan McCain has to say either. Only Sarah Palin has been demonized so completely that the Democrats and media have inadvertently given her this power that she now has demonstrated she knows how to use. I have been laughing about it all day.
Obama should step down.
If poor Joe “unexpectedly” keels over into the grave, the dems could “unexpectedly” replace him with the Hildabeast, O riding to victory on the 110% sympathy vote.
The upside to that miserable theory is that O would forever require a food taster. (Now there’s a worthwhile job for Michelle.)
I haven’t heard or read the “PIAPS” moniker in a while. Thanks for the smile.
Great point about Hillary backers being reminded that their gal got screwed in 2008. They know that Hillary has a better chance in 2016 if Romney wins. Plus, they know Romney is no Sarah Palin so they’re not afraid of him.
If obama replaced Biden the media would cover for him and say it’s been in the making for months. And LameBrain would comfirm it.
