perfect! things feel semi-hopeful for the first time in eons, and the EEYORES of the purer-than-thou stripe, cannot do anything but pee in the cornflakes. it is SHAMEFUL, and i hate that FR is a venue for it.

I woke up this morning to that interview w/Obamas where he had to admit Joe’s comments were a distraction. Bet he was po-ed at Joe. I was LMAO. Odd the way MO was turned toward him and clingy looking. A+++

was telling both my SIL and my friend Paula today that the only people reachable are those in the mushy middle. Paula has a cousin in AZ who she sees on FB is such a rabid obambot she cannot interact with him. She had lunch in Pittsburgh with some of our friends from home [more her’s than mine}, both nurse practitioners. Bonnie is in Oakland, CA and Mary Pat in Cranberry Twp PA. she said she had to just turn the conversation because she was appalled at what they were saying. Mary Pat thinks O is BRILLIANT? yikes, Bonnie is a crunchy granola type from way back and there is no hope for her. my SIL was having lunch with someone she used to work with who is Catholic and from a dem background and was talking up Ryan, and the woman is favorably impressed with him. So those are more the types that you can reach. The Dems i know are hardcore and no yummy pic is gonna convince them, they are ideologically driven.
so the NPs are ok with government takeover of hc? they won’t make any big bucks.
The MORE we mainstream Paul Ryan with beefcake pics or common sense, the easier the indies will turn his way.

i didn’t inquire what their rationale was, but she did say that Bonnie loved Obamacare. Bonnie has been a lost cause forever, i did give Mary Pat more credit than that.
I could not help but eavsdrop on your conversation, and agree, but I completely fail to understand how anyone could be “undecided”, or mushy-are they neighbors with the white rabbit and sneaking tokes off the caterpillar’s hookah?
My ONE acquaintance who WAS an obot has been converted, but it took a drastic cut in her business-a tiny home-run deli-to do it. She passed out Ted Cruz literature with a bunch of us before the special election. and hosted a get-together for all of us poll workers at her little front-room restaurant.
We were, as my Brit neighbor says, totally gobsmacked, but the former O-worshipper, who is of Cuban ancestry, said her family convinced her to vote for him because he is black. She was sure that her business would thrive with all his fair share crap, and it did not occur to her that if all the tourists were broke and couldn’t pay for gas, lodging, etc for a holiday in the Texas hill country, no one here of any ethnicity would have any income-so instead, she lost her building and had to move the deli home. She has repented, and become a rather rabid conservative.
