Toxicology tests showed that King had a blood-alcohol level of .06 and amounts of PCP, cocaine and marijuana in his system, the captain said.
Mr. King was in a state of drug- and alcohol-induced delirium at the time of the terminal event and either fell or jumped into the swimming pool, DeAnda said. Obviously, the effects of the drugs and alcohol combined precipitated some kind of cardiac arrhythmia, thus incapacitated Mr. King, and he was unable to save himself.

Oh shoots! It wasn’t at the hands of the “man”?
As they said in 1992 “Bush’s fault!”
The LAPD didn’t beat him bad enough. Might still be alive today, they might’ve actually knocked some sense into him.
Hard to believe an Icon of Black America would die in an alcohol and drug induced delirium in his pool.
He was such a great role model with his signature message to America.”Why can’t we all just get along”?
I must say that I am shocked at the autopsy findings. The last thing I ever would’ve guessed is that Rodney King had drugs and alcohol in his system.
“Can’t we all just get a bong?”
“A resident recorded the videotape the beating and it was played over and over for a year, inflaming racial tensions.”
They showed a very short clip over and over, not the whole thing. A very short clip, selected no doubt for its inflammatory value.
It’s amazing all the trouble this guy got into and the media didn’t bother to report.
IIRC he was arrested on multiple occasions over the years?
With all that in his system, the drowning (or death by any means) wasn’t exactly “accidental”. It was more like “inevitable.”
Can’t we all just get stoned?
Should’ve called 911. Oh, wait...
RIP, POS. When Rodney died, that other POS, Toure, was on CNN calling him a “hero”.
A confession: hubby and I have seen eery episode of Dr Drew’s Celebrity rehab.
You know its bad when the celeb you feel the most sympathy for is Rodney King.
Can’t we all just gurgle down?
I suppose he’s already buried, but if not, make the jurors on his second trial carry his coffin.....50 miles should do.
I know he was doing it in the 90s, but at age 47 - he was still doing PCP??
Wow.
He will be remembered most for his role in changing the rules of poker forever.
Exactly. Fitting end for a spoiled black brat. The liberals killed him.
Of course they say Bush makes them smoke the crack...
