What motivates Christian Zionists?

I am a Christian. And I am a Zionist. But it took me years of being both to realize that I’m a Christian Zionist.

I am a Christian. And I am a Zionist. But it took me years of being both to realize that I’m a Christian Zionist.

Though I consider myself a strong Christian and a committed lover of Israel, out of college I was leery of calling myself a Christian Zionist.

My definition of a Christian Zionist was unclear and muddled by stereotypes I had absorbed over time.

Where I got those stereotypes is no mystery. Any time you hear interviews with prominent Christian Zionist leaders, certain questions are guaranteed to come up:

Gary Bauer from American Values, tell us why Evangelicals are so eager for the apocalypse?”

“Susan Michael from International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, is Church support for Israel merely a tool to convert the Jews?”

“Earl Cox from Israel Always, do Christian Zionists only support Israel to realize the scenario of Armageddon?”

Something about “Never Again”? Or maybe it was the Jewish baby who’s birthday we celebrate? Or maybe we just recognize the Evil that is out to destroy Jerusalem.

I’m intrigued by the suspicion that Israel-loving Christians really just want the Jews to go through a new holocaust.

It is Hebrew scripture that describes the day of trouble ahead, particularly Joel and Zechariah. A terrible day awaits the Israelis, but then the Messiah will intervene and save all of Israel. It is inevitable.

I don’t know one Christian who wants a single Israeli harmed.

All that I know is that I belong to CHRIST and I love CHRIST and I love Israel.

When you guys pray for Jesus to come soon you are really praying for two-thirds of the Jews to be slaughtered. See www.prophecyquestions.wordpress.com.

Actually, when Jesus comes back (and in the years preceeding that) a whole lot more of people will die. Read Revelation. It is not the Christians’ fault, but it is due to man’s sin.And we don’t just “pray for Jesus to come soon” but we do our best to spread the Word so that less people will die!

Well if prophecyquestions.com said it, I believe it. /S Educate yourself on the various views of eschatology- Amillinialism, Pre and Post-Mill, etc. I support the state of Israel and no nothing of a an ‘endtimes’ Jewish slaughter. Apostle Paul taught that the “gifts of God are without repentance” and that includes the Jewish homeland.
