Pretty reasonable...nice job; however, I think both the Seahawks and the Redskins will do a bit better than you predict with their new QBs.
You have Detroit wildly overrated, I would be surprised if any team in the division has more than 11 wins. 10-6 is more likely for Detroit. Colts overrated, Broncos and Raiders probably are too.
Nor would I expect to see your post season predictions realized. Dallas would not beat the Bears nor the Ravens the Pats.
That's OK by me though; we'll keep flying under the radar, winning games, and sneaking up on everyone when it matters the most.
I don’t think the Ravens will beat the Pats, either. I think the Pats will go 13-3 or possibly 14-2 if you look at their opponents.
Baltimore will be better offensively this year from what I saw in the preseason from them, but I think the Patriots will likely be as good as or better on offense, and I think will definitely be better on defense. (LOL...can’t get much worse than they were last year)
Let’s go NFL! Woohoo!
I really like your optimism in regards to my home team, Detroit, but I think they will fold like a wet noodle. They have always found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in my lifetime.
Cowboys will be at best 3rd in NFC East.
Switch Washington’s record with Dallas’ and I pretty much agree. Romo cannot lead, he is the Obama of the NFL.
Go Skins!!
Pats winning 13-15 reg season games this years upgraded O + significantly upgraded D + relativly easy schedule (AFCS + NFCW).
Watch the crazyness of cut down day and the subsequent roster moves until the roster is settled after game 1.
Boy, sure didn’t see the Deion Branch cut. I think it is some kind of Belechickean ploy, though. I don’t see them cutting ties with him at all, he did well in the preseason.
I agree. I think Romo has guts and is competent, but...he isn’t going to change much at this stage of his career.
I think the Redskins have some upside. Don’t know about the Giants, will just have to see how they play once the shooting begins. The Eagles look problematic to me. I just get the impression something just is not right with that team below the surface. They say all the right things, but the tone when they say it seems all wrong to me.
Boy, that sure is a tough division, though.
I think Green Bay has shored up their defense, and now have a greater running attack with Cedric Benson.
Didn't Green Bay beat Detroit twice last year? I certainly concur that Detroit looks great, but I think the Packers will still take the division.
The Pack has to be considered the best in their division and I think the Bears will be second (unless our defense is much better than I think it is). But I think the Lions will make the playoffs.
It all hinges on Detroit’s running game, if they can get that going, I think they will make a lot of noise.
Wow, nice! Lions 12-4? They’re better this year than last, but I never dare dream of such a record. :’) I always love your prediction threads. Thanks Perdogg!
Detroit has been looking better each year, and in my opinion, a big reason in the past few years they haven’t done even better is a lack of discipline.
Everyone wants a team that is aggressive on both offense and defense, but especially on defense. A defense with a bit of an attitude. (My team has been missing that for a few years)
But the Detroit defense has to bring it down a notch and channel that aggression into discipline. As a fan of another team, I sure hope they don’t, because they have some real talent there.
Hopefully Suh will be more disciplined this year. Just hope Stafford can stay healthy.
I am very impressed with him. They got a keeper, and that is TOUGH in the NFL today.
IF he can stay healthy.
