Here I was thinking about how beautiful those space pictures are that you post, and then you come up with this, another photo from my family reunion.

Since it is a cross-section of ages, it will be found to be victims of the smallpox plague IMHO.

Sounds like modern Mexico - cartels just carrying on the “old ways” with AK 47’s and machetes.

Like all others, the Aztec culture concluded with a death cult.
It’s nature’s way...

Isn't multiculturalism wonderful?
"Michael Harner, in his 1997 article The Enigma of Aztec Sacrifice, estimates the number of persons sacrificed in central Mexico in the 15th century as high as 250,000 per year. "

But ..but ..but ... uh... the indigenous people were oh-so peaceful until those EVIL Spaniards landed and kidnapped all their women and made them sex slaves. That's when they became 'violent', and solely for self-defense purposes you know. Before the SPANISH INVASION the 'peaceful indians' just traded beads, shiny rocks, and sea shells. And they worshiped the Sun, Moon and Stars and would dress in fancy home spun costumes then dance the nights away.
And, and, and .. uh .. all those bodies were of people who accidentally fell off the Temple stairs. They didn't have OSHA or Building Code Inspectors back then so some bad stuff happened every now and then.
Yep, that's it. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
(I don't know how but I'm pretty sure this is all BUSH'S FAULT!)

To me, a ‘jumble of bones’ indicates individual bones not closely connected to a complete skeleton.
This doesn’t mean ‘burial ritual” to me. It sounds more like a trash heap of bones discarded after a cannibalistic feast.
Yum, yum, who’s got some gum? I think I ate me mum.
