Thousands have flocked to the unusual moggy's Facebook page which has received over 40,000 likes, while a video of the cute cat has racked up almost one million views on YouTube in just a matter of days.
The cats symmetrically divided black and ginger facial fur has been likened to a much cuter version of fictional comic book character, Batman's infamous adversary Two-Face.
Venus may look like she comes from another planet but her striking appearance and opposing coloured eyes have a far more ordinary explanation - genetic mutation.
'We've heard everything from Photoshop to we've dyed half of her face,' her owner Christina, from North Carolina, told the Today Show. 'This is just the way she was born, that's it.'

It seems stardom now awaits Venus; having already appeared on America's the Today Show, the unusual-looking kitty has been tipped to star in Lady Gaga's next video.

I am almost tempted to say that this is a hoax. It looks like somebody painted half of the cat’s face black. It’s almost too perfect a line and no place else on the cat except the face appears to be fully black. I don’t know how you could get one blue eye and one green eye other than genetics though. I doubt a cat could/would sit still for a contact lens to change the eye color.
However, I’m disappointed that if the cat is half-black and half-something else then they should have named her “Barack”.

She’s a harlequin. We had one once, not as dramatically marked but a clear line down the middle of her face and different colors and markings on each side.

Neat kitty. Her head looks way too big for her body though. It almost looks like a Photoshop because of that. (Not saying it is, her proportions just strike me as odd. I guess it’s an optical illusion caused by the markings.)

Reminds me of every other two-faced liberal. One face is innocent looking, and the other face, pure evil.
There was a TV special on a chimera woman who had her own children taken away from her because she failed a maternity test...because they tested the wrong part of her body and failed to match her as the mom! A bunch of scientists told her “You did not give birth to these children!” Only when they retested other parts of her body were her children returned to her.
That she is.
