Non Union built home
Observation | 4 September, 2012 | Skip Wiley

On FOX TV I saw a house being built in Tampa and Charlotte. The home will be given to a wounded warrior. What an awesome thing to do. Now, I have a question. Could this home have been built in any of the blue states? OMG They are not using union troops....I mean union workers. That is just un American. Sarcasm off.

NO union work rules on single family homes even in bluest states of NJ and NY, take it easy and have another cup of coffee.

We built three homes on our property and not a single union worker set foot on the property that I know of, unless it was the concrete truck or delivery driver that is.

Not on purpose, but when we got 4 quotes from all the contractors and comparing apples to apples they simply prices themselves out of the ballpark.

My company does work in new construction in many states. As far as I know the only area we have issues with unions in residential single-family construction is the Chicago area.

Even in Maryland and New Jersey, residential single-family construction is non-union.
