I think many Libertarian Conservatives felt the same way when it came to social Conservatives, in the GOP and from that I think one can see the growth of the Libertarian party and decline of GOP registration throughout the 1990s.
As for “RINOS” and “moderates” when it comes to Conservative allies it was not them I was referring to; I think they have not been allies of any Conservatives.
I think maybe you missed the sarcasm in my post, I knew I should have included the /s tag.
Basically, I was phrasing it like someone who wants gays to “keep it in the bedroom”, but if you read the comment, what I’m telling them to keep private is their love of Romney, not their gayness :)
