There have been numerous radio ads for the past 2-3 weeks for the now very successful film "2016" For the first week at least the announcer said "From Academy-Award winning producer of Schindler's List, Gerald Molen". NOW, however, it's simply "from an Academy Award winning producer". Anybody have any thoughts as to why this has changed?
Gerald Molen wants to work in Hollywood again some day?
I would guess that Spielberg has some copyright on the name “Schindler’s List” and requested they not use that in the ads.
Yeah, my thought was that if Spielberg is still a bitter-end Obama supporter, he may have exerted influence, through legal means, to strike use of the movie’s name. BUT that only makes sense if there are intellectual property/copyright considerations. Of course, there were likely MORE producers on SL who may have exerted influence on the producers of 2016, not to name Molen as the sole producer of SL.
It saves a second or so. It’s probably because of other voice-over changes required it to be shaved.
It’s now the number two grossing political documentary of all-time:

In reality, it’s the only factual documentary in the top tier, the others are propaganda films by an obese wacko and a fairly regular bodied wacko.
Is it likely that any Obama backers will pay money to watch this film? If so, I bet they would be demanding a refund. Obama backers couldn’t stomach the truth unless it is what they have been conditioned to believe.
All movie ads get shortened along the way.
The movie has peaked out in theaters. It went to more screens but made less money overall than the previous week.
I’m seeing it this weekend. Wife arranged one of our nights out around it.Are you getting that “peaked” info from a reliable source>
