Attack on US ambassador planned for 9/11: report (connect the dots)

US officials are increasingly suspicious that the murder Tuesday of the US ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and three other American officials was not the result of a protest against an anti-Islam film, but instead was a coordinated terror strike timed for the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. A senior administration official told Fox News they are exhaustively investigating every angle of the attack in Benghazi, and an earlier assault on the US Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, but there are early signs the Benghazi assault may have been planned. The official cautioned, though, that the administration has not jumped to any conclusions about what happened, saying it would be "premature" to do so.

Almost all of the coverage so far of this travesty has been shallow and just misses the obvious.

First...It was not the 'EMBASSY' in Benghazi that was attacked, there is no US Embassy in that city. Tripoli is the capital of Libya and where the embassy is located. The 'US consulate' building is in Benghazi, and since we had NO presence in that city before the 'Arab Spring', we had to find a building to house the consulate in the time since Gaddafi was ousted. Just watching on TV. the consulate building is not defensible like an embassy is because the building was obviously not designed to repel attacks. No large walls around the complex, and since it was not the EMBASSY, no US Marines were tasked with providing protection. The 'locals' were hired to provide protection and that was a terrible, deadly decision that resulted in the death of the Ambassador. Second, anyone who has studied Al Qaeda KNOWS that eastern Libya has provided many of the highest ranking members of the organization. Saudi Arabia and Bin Laden provided cash and the figurehead, but Egypt and especially the area around Benghazi provided much of the operational leadership and foot soldiers for the movement when it was at its height before 9-11. A good link for a primer on the Libyan history of Al Qaeda is here... http://www.npr.org/2011/03/30/134987883/looking-at-the-history-of-al-qaida-in-libya Third, the attack happened on 9-11 not because of a video by some goof in California, but because Ayman Al Zawahri put out a video eulogy to Abu Yahya al Libi. In the video, released ON 9-11 (not in July like the California goofs), evil Ayman calls for Libyans to attack any US interests in the country. That is no coincidence, two days before 9/11/2001, the Lion of the Panjshir, Ahmed Shah Massoud (leader of Taliban enemy Northern Alliance)was assassinated by two Al Qaeda disguised as reporters. Al Qaeda killed Massoud in return for permission from Mullah Omar to attack America and hide out in Afghanistan. Zawahri sent the signal and his Libyan chapter obliged. Fourth, why did the US Ambassador leave Tripoli to help evacuate the consulate without adequate force protection? Three of those killed were his security detail, but that seems woefully inadequate in a country like Libya, especially given the fact that the security at the consulate was not American private security or Marines, but rather local corrupt Libyans. Fifth, how could we ever even set up a consulate in Benghazi and not use our soldiers to guard it? That is an epic lack of judgement and whoever made that decision has blood on their hands. It would be akin to opening a consulate in Yemen and not using our soldiers to protect our diplomats. Sixth, speaking of lack of intelligence, our POTUS misses more intelligence briefings than he attends. That is unforgivable, it would be no matter who is in the White House. The tragedy was totally forseeable, and illustrates the folly of our POTUS and his leading from behind theory of diplomacy.

This is a post from a forum on another site, Wired. It said it so well, I decided to repeat it.

Condolences to the family of the deceased. Learning from this, I hope the US state department will reconsider it's policy of supporting and arming fanatic muslims to attack secular governments.

Death to al queda and all her supporters.

Michael Savage believes this is revenge over the death of Kadafi. He may be correct. Savage also said that only a small part of Egypt is part of the muzzie brotherhood yet when the bombs drop and we all know they will innocent muzzie will die.

Somewhere out there is a Darth Sidious and these morons played right into his hands.

Duh.

I was a few blocks from the Trade Towers on 9/11, and when I got down to the sidewalk and saw burning, plane-shaped holes in BOTH buildings, it was instantly obvious to me that it was an act of terrorism. Since Muslims had attacked the Trade Towers once before, I figured it must be Islamic terrorism.

One hole—possibly an accident. Two holes—a terrorist conspiracy.

Two attacks on our embassasies in two separate countries on the same day, which happens to be 9/11. It has all the marks of a planned terrorist attack by al Qaeda or other Muslim fanatics such as the Muslim Brotherhood—which is more or less interchangeable with al Qaeda anyway.

No way that this could be a coincidence.

I disagree the Ghaddafi supporters were behind this. Ayman Al-Zawahri released a video the SAME day calling for his people to attack Americans in Libya. Benghazi is in the EAST of Libya, an area that was never friendly to Ghaddafi, so I find it hard to believe a group that large could operate freely in the area.

“The official cautioned, though, that the administration has not jumped to any conclusions about what happened, saying it would be “premature” to do so.”

So I guess that means that O & Co. offering thanks for locals for “carrying” Stevens to a hospital was “premature”?

APRIL 2011 : (AL QAEDA’S {See LIFG} NEW LEADER ZAWAHIRI CALLS ON MUSLIMS TO PREPARE TO FIGHT WESTERN FORCES IN LIBYA) The Kronos report says that “Libya is of such strategic interest” to al Qaeda that for years it was its own entity separate from its north Africa affiliate — al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb. Libya was considered important to al Qaeda because of its geographic proximity to Egypt and its perceived ability to “affect the jihadist political situation in Egypt.”

They were not friendly to him but we killed him not them. Keep that in mind. As much as they do not like him they hate us more.

Next time we take out a muzzie bastard we need to make it look like they did it to avoid a future revenge.

Just curious? If this was all planned, how did the murderers know the ambassador would be in Benghazi on this particular day? Normally the ambassador would be in Tripoli.

While the capital of Libya is Tripoli, the rebel alliance had always used Benghazi as their stronghold. During the war to oust Ghaddafi, Chris Stevens lived in a hotel in Benghazi while advising the rebels. With the war over, it was natural for the State dept to try to have a presence in Benghazi, and Stevens probably split time between there and Tripoli.

I would suspect that just like in Afghanistan, a local who worked for us tipped off the Al Qaeda folks that he would be there on Sept 11. I did hear one report that he was in Tripoli early in the day, but once the outbreak happened in Cairo, he went to Benghazi to help evacuate the staff there to a safer spot.

Even if it was not the official Embassy, it WAS a Consulate, and there should have been some personal protection for the Ambassador provided by Americans. There is no way we could rely on the locals, since that part of the world is so riled up right now.
