In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
tu quoque \ˈtü-ˈkwō-kwē, ˈtyü-, -ˈkō-\ noun, interjection
you likewise: a retort made by a person accused of a crime implying that the accuser is also guilty of the same crime
Example sentence:
We found this quote through Weigel, who thinks he has effectively answered conservative criticism of the current administration with a tu quoque. But in contrast with the Bush State Department, neither the president nor Mrs. Clinton vigorously, or even limply, defended the right of free speech.
---James Taranto, Best of the Web, WSJ, 9/12/12
Etymology:
1671, from Latin, literally "thou also" (or, in modern slang, "so are you!"); an argument which consists in retorting accusations.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Hi
When conservatives claim that we’re broke, we
Are hit with the liberals’ tu quoque
“George Bush did it too!”
And while all that is true
Next to Barry, George spent quite slow-pokely
Romney’s objection to the Administration’s apology to the Cairo agitators was met by a tu quoque from the Obama-fawnign media who tried to shame him for raising the question.

It makes me, like Indiana Jones, sigh "more in sadness than in anger" in response to the ever-escalating point-counterpoint, and reach instead for a way to end the argument with finality.
Which would obviate the possibility or utility of a tu quoque, n'est-ce pas?
I know you are but what am I? ; )
Meanwhile, in Fayette county...

Nobis quoque peccatoribus to us also, thy sinful servants.
Btw we had to circle before landing last night and landed half an hour late so that the Kenyan might get airborne. Been up since 4 am. Internal clock goes off no matter what.
A rather incongruous image came to mind of a stereotypical hood utilizing the Latin form:
"Tu quoque, bud, I ain't takin' the rap alone!"
A+ for you. Send me a link. Welcome to WFTD!
Thug Latin, worth an A+!
Don’t fall asleep while sunning yourself by the pool.
BTW, I thought Mitt Romney looked more Presidential in his press conference the the current Idiot in Chief>
These deaths overseas are going to slime Hilary as well Since she is the Secretary of State when it all went down.
.....good bye 2016 Presidential bid if Romney wins.
