That should tell you exactly what you need to know about "middle of the road" opinions in general.
Fence sitting is not an option these days...

When a lib tells you to shut up it means you should speak up louder, because it’s working!
Romney made the right statement originally . He needs to triple-down on it and get even harsher. Not hide under a desk like he seems to have been for the last week

The game being played against Mitt Romney is “Now I got you, you son of a (whatever)”, otherwise shortened to “NIGYYSOB”, taken from the pop psychology book some years ago by Eric Berne, “Games People Play”.
In this game, the player with the least supportable position looks for any lapse, real or imagined, that can be attributed to the stronger player, then by use of either semantics or some kind of faulty reasoning, builds this up into an apparent character defect of the stronger player, and pulls the “gotcha” moment.
In another version of the game, the stronger player is the one who looks for some higher moral ground, from which to wheel around and fire a broadside at the weaker opponent, not to overcome a perceived weakness on the stronger player’s part, but to devastate and totally demolish the weaker player, at which the “NIGYYSOB” game becomes sheer bullying and is totally devoid of any sense of decency.
Magnanimity is not part of this game.
