I think a lot of this is ridiculous.
Vote at your local level. Get involved in local level politics.
Conservatives are always rabbiting on about small government ... well, local politics at the city/county level is about as local as you can get.
Zoning laws have been onerous for decades (at least since the 1950’s) and few conservatives complained about zoning laws until zoning laws started to be changed in a way they didn’t like. But it was local level politics that set these laws and it’s local level politics that are changing them. Why all of a sudden isn’t local control good enough?
Of course, taking Federal money to build out your city was fine and dandy as long as you agreed with what was being built. But now all of a sudden it’s evil to take Federal money because it’s going towards things you may not like?
Not buying it.
There is enough hypocrisy in this Agenda 21 stuff to choke a horse.

Where did it originate?
The term Sustainable Development was first introduced to the world in the pages a 1987 report (Our Common Future) produced by the United Nations World Commission on Environmental and Development, authored by Gro Harlem Brundtland, VP of the World Socialist Party. The term was first offered as official UN policy in 1992, in a document called UN Sustainable Development Agenda 21, issued at the UN’s Earth Summit, today referred to simply as Agenda 21.
