What a shame.

I have one of the original ablums with the group standing in flames on the front, before it was changed.

Contrary to what most think, Ronnie and Neil Young were friends...it is reputed that Neil wrote the song 'Powderfinger' for Ronnie and he died before LS could record it.

Here is a rendition of the song done by the Canadian group Cowboy Junkies.'

History

"Young recorded a solo acoustic version of "Powderfinger" in September 1975 (never officially released), and later sent the tape to his friend Ronnie Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd who were to use the song on their next album.[9][4] However, Van Zant died in a plane crash in October 1977, and Lynyrd Skynyrd never recorded the song.[9][4] The song was officially released as an electric version with the band Crazy Horse on Young's 1979 album Rust Never Sleeps."

IMHO, Skynyrd died in a plane crash 35 years ago. These guys are just buzzards and pretenders, trying to profit off the name.

Disrespecting the Confederate flag? I'd think just being a Confederate disrespect enough.

In Birmingham they love the governor Now we all did what we could do Now Watergate does not bother me Does your conscience bother you? Tell the truth Where is the Boo Boo Boo?

Go to Youtube for a listen.
Right after they say In Birmingham they love the governor
The back up vocalist then sing Boo Boo Boo {but not the lead singer} then the lead singer then sings now we all did what we could do..

If you were looking at a Lyrics page sometimes those type of added words don't show ups lyric sites are generally user posted.

One of the best songs ever! Though, lately, I’m singing “Sweet Home, Mississippi” ‘cause I’m going home. ;o)

What a great answer to Neil Young. “Free Bird” is another classic.

Muscle Shoals has produced her fair share of good music.

“1, 2, 3
Turn it up

Big wheels keep on turning
Carry me home to see my kin
Singing songs about the Southland
I miss Alabama once again
And I think it’s a sin, yes

Well, I heard Mr. Young sing about her
Well, I heard ol’ Neil put her down
Well, I hope Neil Young will remember
A Southern man don’t need him around anyhow

Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet home Alabama
Lord, I’m coming home to you

In Birmingham they love the governor, boo boo boo
Now we all did what we could do
Now Watergate does not bother me
Does your conscience bother you? Tell the truth

Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet home Alabama
Lord, I’m coming home to you
Here I come, Alabama

Ah ah ah
Alabama, ah ah ah
Alabama, ah ah ah
Alabama, ah ah ah
Alabama

Now Muscle Shoals has got the swampers
And they’ve been known to pick a song or two
(Yes, they do!)
Lord, they get me off so much
They pick me up when I’m feeling blue, now how about you?

Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet home Alabama
Lord, I’m coming home to you

Sweet home Alabama, oh, sweet home baby
Where the skies are so blue and the governor’s true
Sweet home Alabama, Lordy
Lord, I’m coming home to you, yeah yeah
Montgomery’s got the answer”

Sometimes, people see/hear what they want to see/hear.

But, you are correct AFA the boo, boo, boo is concerned.
