Black woman stands her ground, kills white man

I noted that, poor phrasing. It could mean through the framework of the window, or through the window glass. A “window” can mean both.

To make matters worse, a photograph showed the forward, upper edge of *a* window glass that had been damaged by a bullet, but they didn’t say whether that was from her car, or the car hit by a ricochet.

Just too much ambiguity to reach clear conclusions.

There is weird, media silence on this case.

No one wants to touch it because doesn't fit the media template, or the SYG template, or the typical road rage template, or the civil rights template, or the good girl for shooting him template.

The media won't even report the facts regarding the one bullet hole in the car window and the two bullet holes in him as this commenter to the HC points out:

No one on this forum or anywhere has presented any information that contravenes what this commenter to the Houston Chronicle says here. All contraveners can do is point out his priors as if that justifies a CHL holder in gunning down an unarmed man based on her word and her word alone.

She claims that he was trying to enter her vehicle at the time she shot him but the placement of her first shot shows that he must have been standing on the other side of the outside mirror far away from the handle of her door at the time. No way he could have been trying to enter her car at the time of that shot.

And then she got out of her car and shot him and shot him again until he was dead.

Is that Stand Your Ground -- Houston, Texas, gun owners, justice hunters, churchgoers, civil rights activists???

“I happened to drive by the scene earlier, i can answer a few questions that i have seen posted on here.. She shot once through her rolled up window, There were markers next to the car showing what to appeared be 3 more Shell casings. The man was white, he was lying about 30’ from the car. She was not blocked in, the mans truck was parked a good distance from where her car was parked. No visible damage on either vehicle. It appears there was one shot from inside the vehicle, 3 more from outside the vehicle. Seems fishy to me.”

There may have been only three shots total — the shell casing from the first shot from within the car shell falling out when she got out of it. The body being 30 feet away is apparently approximately correct — another website has it at 35 feet.

If this evidence is correct then there is a lot more to the story than just “she grabbed the gun and shot him” — a lot more.

IMHO, the shooting as described by her (from Attorney and Pastor) are not correct. Embelished? The shooting as described by Jonathan? Dead men tell no tales. They both played the road rage game and one lost big time. Again, I wonder if she didn’t have access too her CCL (while she was road rage angry), what would have been the outcome? Both arrested for disturbance? Assault? Tickets? They both would have been alive surely. If she was on the phone with 911 as it transpired (as Pastor said) why did she reach for her weapon so quickly?

If I had a CCL, I wouldn’t hesitate at all to save my family. This situation, at this time of day, where it happened, why it happened? So many questions that can’t be answered.

Was she on the phone with 911 after she parked and while she was shooting him??? What was she telling the dispatcher and what was {s}he telling her as that was going on???

or did she call after shooting him and report it after the fact???

That tape will be very valuable evidence of several things.

If she cracked open the door to take her first shot as the picture of her door indicates, then the story that she has told thus far falls apart.

Depending on the situation, it can take from a day to weeks to get the 911 tape. I would assume some enterprising (?) “journalist” would have put in the request the day of the shooting. Usually, the media (at least where i live) get a much quicker response to a request for a 911 tape than a regular Joe. So, either there is a tape (assuming pre-death 911 call by Crystal, not witnesses), the request denied due to grand jury or there is no recording of a 911 call or they are really slow, or the media doesn’t care. I have seen NOTHING on any of the media sites that reported the “road-rage-shooting” requested the tape. One would think that would be a worthy FYI to their viewers and readers that they immediately put in a request and it’s either been denied or they are waiting on it. My thinking, the drive-bys have moved on.

That’s interesting. I read that the family of the deceased is a family of FAITH, but if Crystal’s story and since she’s alive and their son is dead, is the only story getting media/press, that’s the narrative that is out there for all to believe. They need a lawyer/family spokesperson/mouthpiece to get to the media. Of course if the Media were doing their job, the story of the deceased would be out there and friends not having to resort to comments on a story that frames the deceased as a raving maniac dragging a frail, scared, God-fearing, single-mom going to work,out of the car. (last line in the narrative i’m getting from the pastor and her attorney)

Something is wrong when a woman does this so unconsciously and then has her attorney and pastor on speed dial there at the scene in minutes. And this is him — a disciple of Trayvon Martin:

Trayvon Martin who was assaulting and beating the life out of his victim didn’t deserve his bullet, but a young man standing at a woman’s car door to exchange insurance information deserved his???

And then Zimmerman deserves to be indicted for murder and she dooesn’t??? Ohh the hypocrisy and it is just beginning, and make no mistake — this case like Zimmerman’s will be tried in the public arena.

I didn’t see that. I looked at the Pastor’s web site. I have a spyware/warning software that kept going off while I looked at it. He has some kind of ‘wethepower’ site. Best defense is a good offense. Get your story out LOUD, FIRST, and frequent. Dead men can’t.
