Stay classy, Fox.
I’d like to see a reality show of government employees losing THEIR jobs.
It wouldn’t be a reality show. It would be a fiction.
‘Today we're at an office of the Department of Agriculture. Inside this office are 12 bunny inspectors, three mid-level managers, a branch manager, four secretaries, a janitor, an IT specialist and two press liaisons.
‘The latest budget has come in - and the money for this office has only gone up a couple percent - not enough to cover the increased costs from the automatic government promotions. To equalize the budget, up to three people in this office have got to go.
‘Each week, our ‘government inspector’ will have to decide if someone is going to be fired. He'll put them all through their paces. Will someone feel the target on their back and take vacation time that week for immunity? Or will they be the ones to ‘Pack The Box’?’
Besides, the cynic in me says why would I want to watch a show about job layoffs etc. when I can merely open my front door and see it live.
Who on earth thought that this was a good idea?!
This is like watching the killing process at a slaughterhouse- you might turn it on out of morbid curiosity and cringe your way through five minutes of it, then turn it off- never to return.
Not something that I’d watch for entertainment.
