Clinton Introduces Romney at Global Initiative Summit
Fox NEws TV | 9/25/2012 | Heff

Posted on 09/25/2012 7:28:05 AM PDT by Heff

I was watching Fox News this morning and caught small bits of Clinton speaking, then introduced Mitt as a guest speaker at the Clinton Global Initiative, and seemed to give him glowing remarks.

I was getting ready to head out, so only caught a part of it and at the end, Mitt received a standing-O.

TOPICS:
KEYWORDS: clinton; romney; vanity
I was surprised and was wondering if anyone else saw it, and can comment on it.

I saw it. I thought Clinton would never shut up when introducing him! What an ego. Mitt’s speech was very good although he is not a particularly good speaker. He basically pushed free markets, education and opportunity for our muzzie friends.

I saw it and... Clinton sounded very genuine in his intro of Romney.
Romney spoke clear, precise, informative, and was well received by the audience. He looks, sounds and IS Presidential. Doesn’t shout and holler and flail his arms... He speaks quietly and with purpose and... what he says has SUBSTANCE.

He presents himself with dignity and inspires confidence as he should, and as he WILL as President of the United States come November.

I heard that he wants to keep that foreign aid flowing and his praise of City Year / Americorps is disturbing to anyone not involved in the robotic group think.

Clinton was gracious, and Romney delivered an intelligent speech that applied his domestic policy positions to a foreign policy that would promote free enterprise and freedom overseas.

If Romney wins it will have to be because enough people recognize him as the far more serious candidate. Debates will be interesting.

I heard that he wants to keep that foreign aid flowing ...

Foreign aid WILL keep flowing and no president can stop that.

His approach, however, is to switch if from just 'flowing' to directly tie to individual WORK programs - to bringing individuals into employment - Teaching them "HOW to fish" - instead of throwing fish at them, keeping them captured and at the trough.

There is a DIFFERENCE.

The devil makes use of idle hands. Working hands, with their own money in their pockets, aren't as interested in rioting and burning...

Who is proposing a better way, keeping in mind that we will always be sending foreign aid. Two choices: funnel it directly to individuals or into the controlling pockets of despots, who use half to line their own pockets and half to undermine U.S.?

Not to be too cynical BUT what charity wouldn’t stand up for a guy that gives 20% of his income away! ;-)

Clinton was gracious...

Clinton and papa Bush used to head these meeting up - but 'papa' is fall to ill now. But keep in mind, this has been a bipartisan effort.

I'm also thinking that bubba and wifey might be a wee bit hett up at O'bumbles right now ans his effort to shift the blame for the embassy 'bump in the road' deaths on Hillary.

The Clintonistaa and the Chi-Town Mob have been, are, will always be lethal enemies, no matter the facade.

The blatant announcement from the regime that the blame for the embassy massacre lays at the feet of the Sec of State will not go unanswered.

At this point, bubba and wife may quietly undermine "the Won' and help get him out of power.

This should come as no surprise to any freeper. Mitt Romney is a more liberally successful version of Bill Clinton. Romney, Reid, and the controlling junta of upper management at CIA are following Salt Lake City’s orders to play ball with the Clinton/Bush globalists.

The group thinkers are all happily praising Clinton now but wait till they see his introduction of Obama later. LOL

I saw it, too and concur with your remarks.

I thought Romney did well, and got a standing ovation (per FNC by almost all attendees - FNC seemed a little surprised IMHO).

When Romney mentioned WORK and discussed the advantages, I almost expected to hear gasps from the audience, but didn’t hear any. While he was discussing it, I kept thinking of the old adage (sorry, I know I don’t have the words exactly right): give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he’ll eat for a lifetime. Romney’s theme at this part is that the American people are the most generous in the world, but we need to direct that money into helping others learn to create free enterprise and work so that they can create livelihood for themselves and their families. Nations and people that have free enterprise are more prosperous than those that don’t (my take - those that don’t rely on government and/or handouts).

NO. We will not “always be sending foreign aid.”

What an ignorant statement.

The US is bankrupt. There is no money to send.

That is what I said to my husband “TEACH” a man to fish. The message Romney is trying to get across is to work hard and you will achieve
Rewards. There is hi inordinate and satisfaction unworkable and the results of a job well done. Of course when you are preaching to those who would rather sit back and reap the rewards of those that do work. Well there ya have it. I too noticed Fox with that weak comment about standing O.

SatinDoll accuses me of making an 'ignorant statement' in that I contend foreign aid monies will always be sent from the U.S. to other countries - but it's whose hands it gets into in those countries that must be changed - ala Romney's talk today - hot link on my post.

SAtinDoll tells me NO. We will not “always be sending foreign aid.”

What an ignorant statement.

The US is bankrupt. There is no money to send.

What say y'all? ;o) (Since when has "no money" stopped it? ahaha)

My dream: Freepers will realize that the primaries are over and we are left with two candidates - one of whom WILL be president.

FR’s are intelligent enough to now stop tearing down OUR candidate - which helps the other side and give fodder to their worker bees, the media - ergo, aiding and abetting the enemy.

Pipe dream...........
