Here's my staging area in the basement, still being stocked/rotated every week:

Vinegar and rubbing alcohol are good additions to the stock pile.
Lots of cheap asprin is good too.

I normally like to tease you WTSHTF types, but this type of preparedness (in moderation) is a very good idea in areas subject to natural disasters, especially earthquakes and hurricanes.
In California I always had 2 weeks food and water supply (water rotated) on hand. A month would probably be better.
Firearms and lots of ammo are always a good idea, in any circumstance.

Well, for once I can say I have everything there (except the flour) several times over.
In place of flour I have several cases of pilot bread crackers and 20 cans of BEGA canned cheese.
Any preppers out there in Central Kentucky?

The other side of the basement’s got 10 shelf units of 360,000-rnds of ammo for 8 calibers, plus massive dbl-door gunsafe; no pics of that side posted...

Very good advice. My husband took care of all of this after Obama was elected...very thankful he did.

Lots of cheap asprin is good too. A word of caution regarding aspirin is in order.
Aspirin will get toxic when it gets old. It should be tossed when exp date is reached. Fortunately it is cheap enough that you can lay in stock and replace it as that happens.

HYDROGEN PEROXIDE!!!
Great as a medical supply, disinfectant, cleaner, where you cannot use bleach.
Your doctors office is probably cleaned with this (you dont smell bleach there, do you)
And it is relatively cheap- less than a buck a quart bottle.
I sometimes pour a quart in the bath and soak in it.
I have at least 3 cases on-hand at any time

Most excellent firearm.
I’ll definitely be picking one of those up (easier to find here in Texas).
