You're not the only one who does that. I so wish there was a "thread ignore" button. Some of the more gratuitous thread titles are alone enough to turn me away.
I tend to ignore more threads than I would have in the past, just from experience.
I understand what you are saying and where you are coming from.
My gripe is not the threads or titles themselves, but the comments made therein. There was a time when FReepers were a whole lot more respectful in their comments and gratuitous cussing and insults where not permitted at all. We used to use terms like bovine excrement or bravo sierra as opposed to the more common term (and I mean common in the lowest sense) but it seems the slang is now the norm.
It is dismaying.
