It’s definitely real but does NOT need to be treated with medication; the supplement magnesium is what he/she is deficient in.
You would not believe the list of symptoms that are present when mag is absent. ADD being one of many.
I’m going to trust the opinion of three different doctors, and the results of two extremely thorough bloodwork studies. He was never deficient in anything of any type. We tried non-mediation first, as we have a very prominent person in our family that is a total anti-medicine pro-natural-treatment guru. After reviewing the results, they reluctantly suggested we try to concerta. Their personal observations confirmed for them as well - it’s real, and it’s necessary to treat with medication.
HOWEVER, there are NO DOUBT misdiagnoses, overmedication, and I wholeheartedly agree that multiple opinions should be sought, AND non-medication solutions should be tried first.
I never noticed any difference in the ADD with or without the vitamins. I've gotten away from my vitamins lately, and haven't taken Magnesium in a few years. I'll try it again and see if I notice a difference. Any particular formulation of magnesium?
