I just read a new Grisham book that was unlike most of his law centered books. Sorry I’ve lost the name - it was about baseball. A boy growing up with a dad in the majors and betrayal - really good.

How exciting for you all! And that was very thoughtful of you to send the etiquette info - as a Protestant I would not know without looking up the info but would absolutely want to show the proper respect and in the rush and excitement of the trip some might not remember to check details themselves.

Congrats Old Sarge - my daughter got married this past week and I'm still kind of recovering from a week of familly and friends and non-stop tasks. It was more beautiful than I dreamed and my daughter looked like she was born to walk down an aisle in a wedding dress.

I told her that I couldn't believe how perfect everything was - the flowers, her dress, her hair - it was all perfect and she said, "yeah I planned it that way" lol

Of course i was dealing directly with Mumbai! names like rangath, mansoor, and ghouse, were the three diff techs i dealt with!

I am sorry to report that one of my granddaughters slipped so badly in math after 2 years at a prestigious Catholic school in Richmond (she's back in public school now) that she had to enroll in Mathnasium (a tutoring program). My daughter reports that most of the other students are Asian, Indian, etc. who all use Mathnasium as "fun". I should also report that my 99 year old mother seems to be totally in the care of Indian doctors in CA. I don't know if there are no Caucasian doctors left in my old home town, or if only the Indians take elderly patients.

I just know that our kids need to wake up and pay more attention to the core subjects in school, or they will be totally unemployable in the next 25 years.

To be, or not to behooved. That is the question.

This walk down the path is The Bride’s third, and my second.

Getting married on the beach, only family and close friends, lots of pics will follow.

the girls and i are leaving for Italy in 10 days. xshub’s organization is having a conference there, he doesn’t want to go but is letting us go in his stead. There is a papal audience on tap too,

Wow, that is awesome.

ha! saw that article this AM, and sent to my daughters. this is not our first visit to Rome or the Sistine Chapel. My daughter did a semester in Rome with the University of Dallas her sophomore year, and the younger daughter and i went over the week of Thanksgiving to visit her and we toured the Sistine Chapel then. We were def appalled at the nonstop talking and pic taking despite them telling you in literally every language under the sun NOT TO TALK OR TAKE PIX!

oh i know no one would intend to be rude, and you wouldn’t think so but the head covering applies to all faiths not just catholics. i recalled seeing laura bush with a mantilla when they went over for Pope JPIIs funeral, so i figured it was mandatory. xshub had me order his staff person a mantilla to insure she wore something.

yes i am starting to get excited now that it’s NEXT WEEK! we are flying into Florence and will spend 3 days there before taking the train down to Rome. i haven’t been to Florence, but xsteen loved it when she visited it before. It’s where michaelangelo’s David statue is. and it’s also where the Medicis lived and i am obsessed with them so i’m looking forward to that too.

I’m beginning to think we are unusual.... the Groom’s parents are still married, the Bride’s parents are still married, and this is first (and hopefully only) time for both the Bride and Groom...AND no kids from either participant yet either! lol

Behoove

A word meaning vacuum as in Hoover and to behoove is behoovering, a command like, “Woman, get to behoovering the floor!”.

The guy that said this had a radio fall into his SAturday nite bath and was instantly Electoluxed and Dysoned soon after.
