Many people think that a cat is more exotic and fancy but I am here to inform you that you shouldn’t believe a word those crazy cat lovers say because dogs make the world go round here are 10 reasons why dogs are better then cats.

1.  You can train a dog better than a cat. Have you ever seen a cat sit on command? Roll over on command? Stay? Neither have I.

2.  Dogs are smarter. Have you ever seen a dog fall into a fish tank? I haven’t either.

3.  A dog can protect your home much better than a cat.

4.   Dogs are better suited to lead you to a more active lifestyle. Have you ever seen anyone walk their cat?

5. There are a lot of things cats will jump up on that dogs won’t. The cat I had for a month would NOT get off my computer keyboard. Dogs won’t do that. I’ve also seen cats up on kitchen counters. Your dog also won’t climb a tree.

6. Dogs are much more fun to play with than cats.

7. A dog knows when you’re sad. And he’ll try to comfort you. Cats don’t care how you feel, as long as you remember where the can opener is.

8. Dogs will wake you up if the house is on fire. Cats will quietly sneak out the back door.

9. Dogs are Happy. Dogs think your the best person in the world even if you are grumpy, when you come home from school or work your Dogs will be there licking your face and jumping around and they cant wait to see you, while cats don’t notice if you are there or not as long as they get their food.

10. Dogs Listen. When you talk to dogs they will make faces and tilt there head and try to work out what your saying while cats just meow and walk away.

I hope you agree with the above reasons if you have anything to add to the list or disagree with one of them just comment below.

My pack is just two heeler crosses. The one in the pic is a blue crossed with Dalmation (90 lbs.) he is my hunter. The other is a red crossed lab (65 lbs.) and she is hell on wheels and works cows with me sometimes, but she loves the hog hunting. She is my pure-D cowdog. They help me on walkabouts around headquarters. They eat ALOT.

I have to admit that I have three cats also.... they all belong to the red; she loves ‘em. She keeps those suckers in line.

My friend is obsessed with cats. He has strays that has literally dove him out of his house he leaves his clean cloths in his car he is living out of his car. He tries to keep up with the spade/neutering of the cats but I don't think it is enough he has more cats then I could even imagine.

He has a real problem but these cats are destroying his life but he loves everyone of them.

Suit yourself but I don’t see how “kill all those dogs” can be “taken out of context”.

Ask me if I care if I “pissed you off”.

[in reality, your “kill the dogs” crusade is how you and I ended up where we are today]

Heelers are awesome dogs.

Born workers.

“Our” cat is hubby’s thing, now.

I’m patiently waiting for him to make his own decision and take it back to its breeder.

[the bloody ‘free cat’ took a swing at my $500 Pastel Ball Python female..that is unforgivable]

Have fun saving the kitty from Certain Doom.

(Even if he will very likely be ungrateful. :-) )

Afghans are a “primitive breed”.

They were never modified to become truly domesticated and therefore, think autonomously and they are bred to do one thing...run, give chase and kill.

Within their area of specialization, they are geniuses.

“Dog IQ scores” are meaningless.

A breed will do what it was bred to do and some breeds were created to work alone in the field and therefore, seem “dumb” compared to breeds who were made to solely serve the whims of their humans.

None of the Sight Hounds are really for novice owners or anyone else who hasn’t had a *lot* of experience with them.

I think turtles are the best pets. My turtle Speedy even fetches. He just brought me back a ball I threw for him. Of course I threw it last April, but I’ll take determination over speed every day.

Bob visited ‘dad’ out in the shop and totally forgot the cat.

He didn’t even wrestle me when I put him in his condo.

Such a good boa.

:)

[stupid cat just kept on sleeping, unaware of the favor I did him]

LOL

Heelers can be a pain in the butt, and they are and get into trouble if you are not around. Godbless ‘em. They need something to do. Otherwise they will wreak havoc. I am glad I just have crosses.

You do know that cats are naturalborn snake killers, right?

My cats kill copperheads and cottonmouths: very venemous snakes.

My best friend lost her Heeler, Brisbane a few months ago but found a local pup [Barkool] and I swear, I loved that dog even though I never met him.

He was The Enforcer of her Ibizan-infested household, always herding them and looking at her as if to say "Want me bite 'em?" when they went crazy, as Ibizans are wont to do.

He reminded me so much of a Dobe, from the tales she told.

My stupid cat is afraid of cellophane.

He swatted at the snake's head just because it was something moving.

As far as 'cats killing snakes', he hasn't got a snowball's chance in hell against Bob.

There's a *huge* difference between a viper who strikes and retreats and a constrictor who strikes, coils and crushes in seconds.

Pardoxically, it's always been my Ibizans who went after snakes and I'm always making them leave them alone.

Even though the resident rat snakes have gone to den by now, they still frantically sniff the snake trails around the house every time they go out.
