This debate will be a game-changer, as was the Reagan-Carter debate in Cleveland (and I was there).
Ouch! Unlike that fustercluck of a convention, they won’t be able to say that nobody saw it.
This incredible viewership as well as the CNN poll with Romney beating Obama 67-24, plus the just mentioned (on CBS radio news) of “People view Romney more favorably due to the debate” = 56%, “... Obama more favorably...” = 13%, ...
I believe this will may really move the needle more than the “pundits” have been stating.
There is only one reason that people were tuning in, and that is to see whether Romney might be up for the job, and they tuned in at record numbers.

I agree. However, a major gaffe in a future debate could erase previous gains. Americans have SHORT memories. Most have completely forgotten about 9/11 and WRONGLY believe the war on terror is over (0bama has disgustingly fostered that mindset too).
