UW Madison Students: 'Unfair' That Obama Couldn't Use Teleprompter in Debate

Thousands of President Obama supporters turned out in in Madison, Wisc., for a rally following Wednesday night’s debate in Denver. The mood was somber, to say the least, as they waited to enter Bascom Mall at the University of Wisconsin Thursday afternoon. University of Wisconsin students and fellow Wisconsinites had mixed reviews on the president's performance.

I talked to supporters of the president who had watched the debate, asking how they thought the president did. One after the other said they were left unimpressed and “not inspired,” seemingly depressed and lethargic in their continuing support of the president.

More than half the people I asked, who thought the president could have done better, said “it wasn’t fair” that President Obama was not allowed to use his teleprompter in the debate. And while a handful of supporters did say teleprompters had no place in the debate, one thought it was not only unfair to President Obama but both candidates.

These comments come from young people who believe that they only need to learn how to think and express themselves. They feel no need to learn facts as they can be found on a computer at any time.

Many college courses have no final exam these days. Students write a paper instead. IMHO the profs don't want to find out how little the students have actually learned (internalized knowledge) in their classes.

We students cheat with our smartphones, the President’s using a teleprompter is no different. In Leftyland, the ends justify the means. How you got your answer does not matter. Only “winning” matters. Honor? Honesty? Integrity? Archaic values.

I saw a bit of this and had to turn the sound down after a bit, it kept going and going and my head kept spinning and spinning.

Do these numbnuts understand what a DEBATE is? How the hell are you going to have/use a teleprompter in a debate?

God have mercy on this country. Please.

I thought the same thing. We students could get straight A’s if we were allowed to use the book and our notes on the test. I wonder if we allowed Medical students to do the same what the result would be

Because they used to be adults who did things such as fight in WWII.

Now though they’re mostly spoiled punks...

UW Madison Students: 'Unfair' That Obama Couldn't Use Teleprompter in Debate

Dear UW Madison morons :

Using a teleprompter for a debate is exactly like being allowed to use a cell phone during final exams.

If you really believe that is "fair," any professor worth his credentials should be taking a second look at your latest finals, and I challenge the legitimacy of your final grades...

18-year-olds voting? I’ll stick my neck out and say that not one of them has learned enough and witnessed enough to make a
thoughtful choice for a political leader. Many never will, regardless of age, and we can only hope they have something else to do instead of going to the polls.

I haven't seen it discussed, but I'm certain that I saw a plastic insert around Zer0’s right ear, colored more like Caucasian skin. It appeared to be a piece of molded plastic, maybe 3/4 of an inch tall, pre-molded to his ear shape, in a lighter skin color. I taped the debate, I'll go back and look again!

The GOP better get some expert consultants on board to sweep the next debate site for clandestine transmitters.
The record of the Obama regime suggests that they have no problem ignoring the constitution, laws, ethics, morals or the use of electronics to game the system.

It would not surprise me at all if Obama didn't have a dozen "experts" behind the curtain trying to feed him the 'best' answers. The guy is a functional ignoramus, who can't possibly learn on the this job. His shortcomings are too obvious in all subjects that matter.

I don’t think it would have done him any good in this last debate. He was so messed up or high that he wouldn’t have understood what was being said to him.

Someone needs to ask these little ****s if he gets to use them one on one with the Muslim brotherhood or Putin.

No, you over indulged mommies boys and girls, you do not get to write everything on the inside of your palm. Sometimes you actually have to remember things off by heart and not look around for the man with the marionette strings if he’s off taking a whiz.

And what would be on the Teleprompter?

Exactly. These kids don't know that somebody else would have to type the answers in for Obama? Or is that what they are asking for?

These college kids need to be reminded that Obama was the Senator that voted “present”, what, a hundred times, most likely because he did not have a crutch (teleprompter) to tell him what the issue was or what to do about it.

This guy played golf on the American taxpayer’s dime and time, he’s the original “choom” slacker, and it’s no surprise that today’s college students identify with him.

I think it would be telling to interview college students on who they would rather take bong hits with? Of course,
BO might want to switch over to vodka enemas...

Ya but it’d be interesting how the MSM would spin that.

Hopefully, these are merely Freshmen and/Sophmores who are still taking prep classes necessary to “prepare” them for college.

<We students could get straight A’s if we were allowed to use the book and our notes on the test.

I’m a professor. In some disciplines, it is not unheard of for students to have an open book exam or be allowed to bring in a page of notes or formulas.

You’d think they’d get A’s, but they don’t. Some will do poorly, some will fail - even with the text in front of them.

Why - because they mistakenly think they don’t have to study. It doesn’t help to have the book if you don’t know where to look. It doesn’t help to have the formula, if you don’t know what formula to use and when.
