Blame it on the anniversary gift.
Saturday Night Live used inner monologues to explore President Obamas tepid showing in Wednesdays debate. The show-opening debate spoof showed Obama (Jay Pharoah) considering last-minute gift ideas for wife Michelle and struggling with the Denver altitude during his time at the podium, while Republican challenger Mitt Romney (Jason Sudeikis) blabbed about his plans for economic recovery.
I cant believe I forgot the anniversary gift, Obama thinks, shaking his head. This is bad. This is very, very bad.

I saw a little of SNL last night, and it was a parody of the post-debate analysis. They had some guy playing Al Sharpton who was offering up all these crazy reasons for Obama’s poor performance. Hilarious!
I remember when SNL was funny. I watched about 4 minutes of this debate parody and didn’t chuckle once.
You either have a great memory, or a very old.

Me too. The originals were better. I actually went to college in NYC during the Beluchi Chevy Chase period.
