I am going to say no, although there’s no denying that they like the fact that Obama is black/biracial. The vast majority of black people are democrats. While some may be socially conservative, they are fiscally very liberal, and that is their priority when voting. They vote the party line. Conservative black people like Allen West, Clarence Thomas, Alan Keyes, Herman Cain, etc. are villified, called such names as “Uncle Tom” and “Sellout”.
An example for you is a man named Kenneth Blackwell ran for Ohio Governor against Ted Strikland in 2006. He was the first black candidate from a major party running for Governor of Ohio. If black people were voting based on race, you would have expected them to support Blackwell for first black Governor of Ohio. Nope. They went for Strickland because he was the democrat candidate.
