In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

fulgurant \FUHL-gyer-uhnt\, adjective
Flashing like lightning.

Example sentences:
Now, as died the fulgurant rage that had supported her, and her normal strength being exhausted, a sudden weakness intervened, and she couldn't but allow Mike to lead her to a seat.
-- George Moore, Mike Fletcher: A Novel

He failed: the storm ran closer, fulgurant brilliance striding the sorry landscape like the stilted legs of some vast insect, the wind strengthening, carrying the odor of corruption, the thunder growling as if in anticipation.
-- Angus Wells, Wild Magic

Etymology:
Fulgurant is derived from the Latin word fulgurāre which meant "to flash like lightning."

The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Neon dentures are creepy. Ace of Spades calls him Joey Chompers. A+ for you.

Benadryl lingers with me too. I only take it when I am desperate.

My sinuses feel like I have an infection brewing. Beneydryl seems to be keeping it at bay. I suspect I need the rest. Went back to bed yesterday and slept for three hours. Went to bed early last night and my husband had to wake me this morning, or I wouldn’t have been up at all. Fall allergies hit me and I am only taking it once or twice a day. Lasts for 4 hours, but man, I am tired.

You get the impression that a vulgar rant is always fulgurant from al Buraq*...

Any news nowdays is published in the UK. It’s amazing that the RockStar Wannabe Won is just a dazzling fulgarant show that now needs to be closed down, and extinguished.

Great word! :-)

Wasn’t “Fredonia” a made up land in Dilbert?

Are you trying to confuse me or make me happy? Several friends of mine early voted yesterday and said the lines were loooooong.

If early voting where you are is like where I am, the shortest lines are the ones on election day.

Ace is probably stocking up on celebratory pudding, and cheap vodka.

That’s a little frightening. Remember how the media harped about the angry white man? How did that angry black man play for them in the last debate? He’s looking more like Calypso Louie every day. A+ for you.

Right now we're down to following in the steps of our ansisters, we're poaching and gleaning. And eating jam bread, two pieces of bread jammed together.

I tell ya, it's getting so poor in our neighborhood that the thieves are breaking into their own houses cause they know nobody else has anything left to steal.

Some guy robbed the local bank and came away with nothing but a bag of coupons to the tattoo parlor and last years calender. Course if you want the tattoos with ink ya gotta come up with some cash, otherwise it's just all pain, no paint.

I gotta go, a flatlander just found some of my roofing nails in his tire and I just know he needs my help.

Fredonia was Marxist
I.e. Groucho, Chico and the harpist
‘Duck Soup’ was fulgurant
Never a dull moment
Their wit was at it's sharpest.
