[Vanity] Where did all the polls go?

Where did all the polls go?

For months we were treated to a daily barrage of the latest MSM-skewed polls showing how Obama was clobbering Romney in polls from major and minor news outlets, as well as polls run by universities and pollsters.

The minute Romney starts to clobber Obama in even the most highly skewed polls, nearly ALL polls have now virtually disappeared from the news. Where did they all go?

It seems that a few still squeak by, but those are from pollsters and running polls is, in fact, their only job.

Also, a few weeks ago, word came that exit polls will not be done in bunch of states.
The information from exit polls is very interesting. Too bad exit polls are or should be illegal, on secret ballot grounds . . .

Oh brother. We have too many polls right now. Every 5 minutes another poll. I would not bet money on this race at all. The polls are all over the place. Right now FREEPERS are saying the polls are 100 percent accurate. three weeks ago, FREEPERS were saying they were all trash. I wonder what changed.....

Three factors. One, even the skewed, D+6 (or worse) polls show Mitt up by margins that are well outside the error margins. The msm just doesn’t want to report that. Two, as others have predicted the pollsters are starting to show more real data, just a taste, because eventually they are going to have to release more realistic predictions. Otherwise, next time around no one will believe, and thus won’t pay for, their services. Three, RR have looked real good, real solid in their debate performances. Biden and obama have effectively self-destructed with theirs.

Any time you are using statistical sampling in order to estimate the qualities of a larger group, there is the opportunity to take multiple samples and present only the results that support a particular view. The samples will have random variation, so if MSNBC takes 10 polls and the average is a tie, there will be one which shows Obama ahead by 3 points. That is the one they will choose to make public, rather than the one which shows Romney ahead by 3 points. Sorry you don’t like FREEPERS, maybe you should post comments at a different site.

A lot of people have not been dissing them except for the fact they have been heavily skewed Dem. If they still are Obozo is in more trouble than he knows.
Our local news this AM spent all their time talking about Obozo leading in IA, and WI. Not a word about the Gallup poll, or OH, and we are on the OH border.
You can’t even see what’s happening in your own neighborhood without getting slammed by their bias.

Even skewered polls need to come around to reality when the election nears else Never be taken seriously again.

Yes, I do have issues with them being released while people are still voting.

They went the same place as the pictures that Jim Lehrer used to show at the end of every single News Hour program on PBS of military members who gave their lives. Starting on Jan 20th, 2009, these pictures just disappeared.

The polls either disappear or they are frozen in a space/time continuum in which the results are from early September. Some of the polls changed hardly at all after the first debate from where they were weeks earlier.

I expect that we will slowly begin to hear a lot about the homeless again soon... And global warming and a million other leftist horrors...
