Seriously, I think it could have something to do with 0bama’s off-shore account in the Cayman’s and his ties to China through that account. I was surprised when Romney brought it up and Hussein was definitely surprised - you could see the shock on his face. I wish there had been more follow up into that subject; ie. Why do you have an off-shore account and what are the connotations?

I been trying to think but nothing he says would effect this election.
This has been one of the strangest elections I have ever watched. Every hour there is something new to parse. It is hard to keep up with all that is being thrown around and then try and get to the bottom of it.
That was a brilliant catch. When I first heard it I thought good gotcha moment or sound bite, but you are right he would not have brought it up unless he was trying to get some scrutiny in that direction.

If you are planning on collapsing the dollar or the US economy as a whole, or you have projections that something like that may happen, you definitely want to have your money in a safe haven and invested abroad - hence an account in the Caymans that is heavily invested with Hussein’s comrades in China. The prospect is very scary!

There's too much at stake right now, presidency-wise, money-wise, vote-wise for these major league political operatives, including candidates and major backers to be playing games.
Not without cause, many freepers have become cynical and blase about all "breaking news" and "major announcements" because most of them have turned out to be duds.
However, each one of us should assess whether these sharp political advisers to the Romney campaign, including Trump and the candidate themselves, are going to tout an impending announcement next week just to hear their teeth rattle or to delude the public.
Folks, the campaigns are now in the most critical phase. Have faith. Remember when everyone here was screaming that Romney was not exercising the killer instinct...he was being a milquetoast....?
I posted at that time that the seasoned experts in the Romney campaign had a timetable, knew when to turn the heat on, they will not act under pressure from the impatient....and I said I hoped freepers would be patient, the time WOULD come!.
Guess what....Romney is now peaking at EXACTLY the right time, on the ascent in state after state.....while Obama peaked way too soon, is now in a swoon and descent.....and he won't peak again in the next couple weeks, or EVER!

You are getting it wrong. Romney was talking about Obama’s being a part of the federal pension system. The federal pension system makes investments just like mutual funds, including mutual funds. Those investments are many and varied, including Chinese and Cayman Island investments. These are not Obama personal investments; Romney was speaking to Obama’s pension fund which has such investments, just like many gov’t pension plans do. Nothing nefarious; Romney was just pointing out the hypocrisy of Obama speaking about Romney’s trust’s investment strategy, as the fed gov’t pension strategy is just the same.
